My Brethren

My Brethren

A Poem by B30
"

My brethren, my brother, my partner, my friend.

"
The pain of my brethren as the tale pasts by
Weakness starts showing and tears ask why
The matter's been changed, our answers are lies
The truth has no meaning, but we still abide

My brethren, my soul
My emptiness, my poem
You do not understand
For the fear that you don't

I could form stones on the table we share
I could care less for the careless we care
Hunger myself for the food that you need
Sacrifice myself for the friendship we bleed

My brethren, my friend
My partner, it's damned
That we should be left
For life could never repair

There's something going on with this writing. It's loaded with subtle hints and innuendos. I like that and this is one of those works where we go away wondering if we really understood.
