Rays of Darkness

Rays of Darkness

A Poem by Poeticsecrets16
"

I wrote this as the solar eclipse will occur today! Just make sure you don't look at the sun directly.

"
Outside my window
Daytime ominously dimmed
Thoughts of confusion bounced
Through my mind of deceit
To the outdoor I followed

Outside with nature
Gusty winds celebrate by dancing
Surrounding me so wickedly
Bushes shiver, trees wave
At me, their branches
Pointed towards the sun

I look up and
I see a god-figure
Staring at me with
Fiendish eye-deviled looks

Petrified I felt,
I look away
And I see darkness
I can't see my house
The neighborhood became dingy
Why did this god-figure
Bedim the outdoors?

The wind howls and hisses
The trees and bushes laugh
hysterically at my ridicule
"Mercy please!" I yell
I plea, plea, plea, plea,
Nothing worked

Rusty leaves cling to me
Whispering and sucking the
Soul out of me

I lay down all worthless
Feeling drained and hopeless
As nature unravels evilness
