I love to see you in love

Your voice was out of breadth, your cheeks were flushed red;
Stammering for words you rushed up to me.
I could feel that you were lovestruck;
I could see cupid working his magic upon you.
Sensing your anxiety I calmed you down,
'Relax, girl. Tell me everything', i said.
'I am in love', you replied, looking at me, pausing for breath;
waiting for me to act surprised.
I pretended to be surprised, just for your sake.
Pretend, that's what i am good at;
Pretending to never love you;
Pretending that the love you have for him, was never mine to begin with.
'He proposed and i said yes', you were muttering frantically;
Yes, those were your exact words;
and i pretended to be happy.
I lie to my heart, I lie to my emotions;
I may suffer in hell for this, or worse;
I may see you up there at the altar with him;
while i pretend to love see you in love;
with someone else.

Wow what a write that was, so full of emotion, so deep and meaningful and straight from your heart, I always say that the best poetry is written from your heart.
I loved this Explaining how you loved her so much you pretended to be happy, but you where only being happy for her, you want her to be happy, but you are dying inside, seeing her about to marry somone else.
Very moving and heartbreaking.
I bet allot of people can relate to this piece.
Very well written indeed.
