Virgin

Virgin

A Poem by Robert J. Huntley

He took her first

with a pang of regret

Softly sighing

from the edge

of a bed

somewhere

north of reason

He wonders

where his dream went

Stirring at the sound

she wakes

to a new world

run red

by a digital clock

He feels her disappointment

with his head in his hands

Silence follows

About
After a year long self imposed exile from Writer's Cafe I have returned. I will not be re-posting whatever pieces I lost in the great crash. If you are one of the few who read my older work, and for.. more..
