What is Love

Depiction of the every continuing struggle of love

We dream and hope for that moment to come

Spark of a touch fluttering heart

Dates, flowers, chocolates for some

For two in love a future to start

Hours even days spent together no remorse

Then suddenly without warning infinity crashes down

Gifts and memories shared now by force

Emotions running deep what’s left but to drown

What began a joint effort became only one

Goals and morals quickly fly out the door

What is love really when all’s said and done

Couple, now single, simply left wanting more

Years of love don’t just up and leave

Wait for healing growth with each day

Regardless of pain just a temporary reprieve

With veracious love there’s always a way

Nice work! I like the descriptions and honesty in how love is great and just about as good as can be then just like that it's gone and you are alone. With veracious love there is always a way... I believe that but it takes two to keep pushing, can't quit. The second one quits it's done. Well penned :)
