Pump-GirlA Poem by Poe Reddon a cold, rainy day...like needles and pins that burn through skin and freeze the blood within the Winter rain starts up again like a slap before the Spring
the price is up spirits down so's the storm that sudenly broke standing out on a corner in town a poor girl's getting soaked
the pump-girl freezes over-teased by harsh determined breezes what later will make her ill marked by coughs and snot and sneezes
still she smiles though sad all the while greeting every vehicle with an 'excited' "hi!" so silently raging inside just wondering why what she did to be punnished by the sky
