A Night in a Burial Ground

A Night in a Burial Ground

A Poem by Balkaran Singh Sidhu
"

Horror...........Humour

"
On a cold night I found myself
In a deserted burial ground
And I saw its gate closing itself
with a crackling,haunted sound.

I tried to open the gate
which was pulled by an unseen force
But soon had to accept, that my fate
was coming from a powerful source

And suddenly I was pushed on to a grave
A board on which read'Late Mr. James'
'A smart gambler who was brave
And was known for playing mind games'.

And then I saw a smiling stranger
who had playing cards in his hand
I turned and tried to run away from the danger
But got twisted and found myself in sand.

I got up for my life, with a boom
And with all my strength,i gave a scream
But then i realised, that I was in my bedroom
and discovered that it was nothing but a dream.
