There Is More

There Is More

A Poem by Bane

Staring down a loaded barrel

Reflecting on a life so hollow

The dig down deep and be strong

To pull the trigger and be gone

But would this be a grand mistake

To discount God and seize your fate

Forget the words of sermons past

To pray, repent, forgive and fast

This life is not yours to take

Is that true or just a fake

It seems so easy just to squeeze

A sudden reaction

To a cough or sneeze

Remember that you are not alone

You have a family

A dog

A home

This clouds your mind with love so real

Not so simply material

But you made a choice to end it now

Stick to the plan

Remember how

The trigger’s pulled

The is no sound

No crimson stain on the ground

There is more for you than just tonight

Never give up

Always fight
