EARTH'S SQUATTERS?

EARTH'S SQUATTERS?

A Story by Jason Baptiste

Gathering materials that can be found, families constructed shelters on lands of their birth.
Possessing cards of national identification, bearing meaningless merits, their homes demolished by uncivilized rulers.
Once dwelling in their destroyed feeble structures, becoming scornfully existing beings,
orbiting sidewalks of streets emptied of acknowledgment.
Ordinated by materialistic status of deprivation, denied of the rights to be sheltered.
Attended by criminal janitors, daily eluding hazardous entities and elements,
seeking safe sanctuaries.
