The Noose

The Noose

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

In the eyes of my uncle, who killed himself a few years ago after his wife took his son and left him telling him he would never see them again.

"

I am left with this daily sting

Of the needle crushing

Crushing against my skin

Leaving me feeling so alone

With nothing to live for

No place to call my home

She took the sun away from my eyes

I am left

With no more clear blue skies

Darkness has taken over my days

She took the only thing

I have ever loved

My family, my world

Left me here to burn

I am nothing, without love

I am a man, without my son

Craving for the love

Of my once beloved ones

I hang this noose

Upon this tree

Let God take the last breath for me

Take the life from within me

I am nothing but a man

A man without my family...

Sad, I forget sometimes how strongly fathers can feel about their children. It's almost frightening. Nice work.

Oh that is so tragic. My uncle killed himself when I was a young child. It is something that never goes away. He hung himself over similar circumstances too. I feel for your loss. Even if it was a long time ago, that kindof tragedy shapes who you are in a way.
Thank you for sharing.
