Midnight Serenade

Midnight Serenade

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

not sure about the title. but its a bit different than usual for me.

"

Playing a midnight serenade

In this starry moonlit night

So black as my heart

As it aches for you tonight

Playing so softly

As I'm wishing for you near

Hoping to hear your sweet words

Whispering tenderly in my ear

I once knew the light

Being close to you

Now while everyone sleeps

I'm awake in the darkest blue.

You are my ghost, living within me

In the silence of the mist

Lingering in my mind and heart

The only place where you now exist.

Playing this sad tune,

The harmonic sorrow of my heart

I wait, and play only for you

For death we do depart.

Very vivid and I can feel the sorrow and pain. The night adds to the mystery and feeling....
"Playing a midnight serenade

This goes so wonderfully with the picture as well.
A haunting aura exists around and inside your great poem!
