Ghostflowers

Ghostflowers

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

A poem that my mind made up, I have no idea what it means.

"

Living with each incision

Placed diligently in my hands

Pain in a razor blade,

Thousands of visible strands

Picking ghostflowers

From my broken, dying soul

Insanity lingers deep within

Losing all within my control

I silently listen

To Death's sweet melody

Wishing for him to come for me

And set my spirit free

I have bared all my scars

Of my timeless sins

Living in the shadows of your lies

Hiding in your wicked grins.

Wow! An absolutely amazing poem. I loved it! These two stanzas were my favorites:

'Picking ghostflowers

From my broken, dying soul

Insanity lingers deep within

Losing all within my control

I silently listen

To Death's sweet melody

Wishing for him to come for me

And set my spirit free'

I so know that insanity that 'lingers deep within.' This piece is full of raw emotions, and I love it!

Do you ever stop getting better with each word you write? This is so awesome, and the fact that it just came to you is priceless, love it when that happens. I love the terms ghostflowers...and the accompanying pic (up top). Almost as beautiful as this tragic message. Keep writing!!!

yet again, another powerful poem so soulful...This dark night of the soul has been prolific in poems, if not in hope...nver give up hope though..."it cannot rain all of the time"

Sounds almost like the EMO creed. A little disturbing, rather dark, but well penned, well thought out and well written

Man, wish i could just hold u and the girl in the picture here :) Yea, i can feel what uve said. Sometimes the agony of just being alive hurts so much. I mean, it can hurt a lot cause of desperation, cause you're just wanting to be free from all the pain. Really moving piece, great job! *Hugs*

Profoundly troubling poem. Self-punishment it seems to me...a kind of representation of guilt.

Interesting throughout.

One of your darker poems that you have written, so far. Expressing your inner anger that you have towards yourself. Know that writing is a form of therapy for you, but this poem scares even me, with the message of suicide as it theme. Than again, i maybe just reading too much in this. Either way, this poem leaves the reader with the vivid image of the pain that you're going through. Thank you for sharing some of the pain that troubles your soul in this poem.
