A little something, since I'm getting married in a few days.

Il mio amore...

 

Every rose has it's many thorns,

Every beauty has some flaws.

Whether love feels right or wrong

Pain is always close behind.

 

Our love has had

It's ups and it's downs

But somehow, some way

We remain together as one.

 

I never truly believed in true love

Or the cliche term "meant to be"

But my mind has been changing

In every moment with you.

 

The high school hallways whisper

The sweet nothings you once told

The stolen kisses before class.

While the shadows hold the misery.

 

Let us never go back in that direction...

 

But through all the adventures

And the complexity of us

I know you always have my heart

And you always have mine

Yes... true love works through pain to a deeper pleasure.. a lasting life of blessings even admidst the troubles that must come. Life is filled with seasons, and I hope and pray that you two will spend most of it in a delicious springtime!

Very heart warming, especially when you consider your repertoire of more hope deprived poems. I'm so happy you've found someone who makes you feel this way, someone to stop the demons and loneliness that have burdened you for so long. I am sure that they know that deep down within their pain...that they have your heart and you have theirs..pain covers many things...then we strive for some other mechanism to take our thoughts elsewhere with postings not associated..your profile says not to judge...judging can help correct a bad dark path into a better one with better results and a much better ending, believe me..
