Queen of Sorrows

Queen of Sorrows

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen

In my Tragic Kingdom,

The Queen of Sorrows rules this land.

Ruling over morbidity and misery,

Lives that no longer stand.

Lonely dying souls wander,

Howling cries fill the night.

They know no peace and beauty,

Living life in full of fright.

Dead poets roam these dark halls,

Writing of darkness and despair.

Broken hearted whispers,

That fill the misty air.

I, myself, have lived in normal.

Filled with romance and love,

But loneliness flowed through these veins

Now I pray for death from above.

Crimson vitae drips from these walls,

And the sun no longer stays.

Too many broken dreams and hearts,

Made the darkness come this day.

Heartbreak and Depression,

As they cry for someone near.

Taking on such persona,

I'm the only one they hear.

Lingering here for many more years,

Sitting on this thorny throne.

Listening to these crying souls,

In this place I call my home.

I am the Queen of Sorrows,

Carrying this bleeding heart.

Taking on this persona,

The day my world fell apart.

Dead poets roam these dark halls,
Writing of darkness and despair.

Yes I know of these poets. But because of their pain their is written beauty.

A place of despair and deception you've created here. The darkness with no hope for light, the cries of the innocent echoing and "crimson vitae drips from these walls", to me that was amazing. The fact that hatred took over the heart and it makes it quite fascinating to watch this transformation.

This poem is obscure and bewitching for the readers.

I think you've written something quite similar a few years ago. he title seems familiar as well.
Remember you do have people in your life who care, no matter how lonely it feels.

you've created an alluring veil with a slip to the side through which the reader approaches the delicate arrangement on whispering thoughts~ a fable in poetic form~ beautifully arranged~

A amazing poem. I had to read a few times. Some poetry is easy and simple. This poem had balance and raised questions.
"They know no peace and beauty,
Living life in full of fright.
Dead poets roam these dark halls,
Writing of darkness and despair."
A strong ending to a outstanding poem.

Brilliantly penned and seems, if written with great care. You created a whole new world and filled all the empty spaces with your descriptions and the imgery used was superb. An insight into a whole new realm existing in perhaps every one, where everyone is the king or queen of their sorrows.

Wonderful poem. :)
