Kingdom of God

Kingdom of God

A Poem by Becky

Some men search for silver
Others search for gold,
While others search for diamonds and pearls
Rare gems and precious stones.
But the treasure that I seek to find
Cannot be bought or sold,
I search for The Kingdom of God
The greatest treasure man has ever known.
This priceless treasure was left behind many years ago,
It was never meant to be hidden you can find it in His Word.
His name is more precious than the rarest gem or stone,
Call upon the name of Jesus He is seated on throne.
God's treasures are here just waiting for you,
Seek and you will find.
Give Him everything you have
Body, soul and mind.
Seek you first The Kingdom of God,
And all will be given to you.
Remember you are a child of The King,
There's nothing He wouldn't do for you.

All feedback is welcome. There are so many more where this came from and I so want to share my work with others as well as become an accomplished author. Not sure how comma's and periods fit in so I welcome any advice.

Matthew 7:7 is shining in your poem... There is no one more happy than the one who has found the kingdom of God... Earthly beauty and possession will fade away one day but God's love can never get old and will always be our side... This is very very touching and reminds me of the ultimate gem that I need to seek..
