Punctured Lungs Give No Air

Punctured Lungs Give No Air

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

*shrugs*

"
Suffocating, my breath,
Is slowly placing itself
Beneath me, beside me;
It won't stay in my lungs.

Crushed, further and further,
Until I feel like I'm just a fraction
Of who I used to be.
Struggling, but getting nowhere,
Hope failing my hopeless heart.

Fighting for another chance,
Another gift of life, of living
For something more than tomorrow;
Realizing, for once, that this will
Never be anything easy.

Fruitless ideas swarm the brain,
Take my breathe away,
And all I want is just another
Chance to breathe.
