Never Say Never

written with inspiration from the song "Never Say Never" by the Fray. I LOVE that song!!

 

You come home, crying.

You’ve had a tough day, and you just need to be alone.

People have betrayed you, and told lies about you.
But I see past the lies.
You may say that I’ll never understand,

But never say never.
I understand, all too well.

I’ve been through it too.

I’ll be here for you.

I’ll be your guardian angel, here when you need me.

But if you really must be alone, I’ll leave you be.

Just call for me, if you need.

I’ll always protect you, no matter what.

We’ll always be together.

You may say we’ll never be able to stay together, it just can’t happen.

But never say never.

I’ll always be here for you, even if we aren’t together as a couple.

I’ll always be here as a shoulder to cry on.

But never say never.

Wow.. I could feel the sincerity ringing through this.. really nicely. So many do enjoy making up stories about others.. I have felt that sting too many times.. as I am sure many others have. Usually when people feel badly about themselves they do this.. that is what I have found anyways.. but yes it still hurts. Such an inspiration that you would opt to still be a protector and be there for another with "no strings".. that is friendship that is priceless!!! Lucky your friend is to have someone like you! Well, this is a great poem.
And I think people should learn to never say never.
They should just learn to say no to certain things.
