Zero Alley

A Poem by Ben Umstead
"
Not a poet, don't care for poetry much, just some hard boiled images and words that had to be thrown up on screen.
"

No time in Zero Alley

No time for the faint of heart

No time for the washed up starlets

No time for the ramshackle do-gooders

Whove woven their way through macabre mayhem

To get here on their last dime

No time for Jack, Jenny or George

Roll the dice

Taste the ice

Fall

Fall

Fall

All the way down

Be a good little bystandard

Pick up the pieces

Of the man with no plan

That lies shattered at the edge

To your city of light
