Operation: Monte Carlo Ep. 8 Sinister Kid

Sakamoto Seiichi makes his grand appearance and starts to threaten the members and their loved ones. Will Ninette have to give herself up to save the men that have sworn to protect her?

          INT. PSYCHOLOGIST'S OFFICE. NOON.

          Yuuto is lying on the couch with his eyes closed. He seems

          to be in pain. Aina is sitting in the chair next to him.

                              AINA

                    Now, when I snap my fingers, you

                    will wake up.

          Aina snaps her fingers and Yuuto's eyes open. He sits up.

                              AINA

                    Anything new?

                              YUUTO

                    No, it's the same memory with the

                    same ending. The memory won't

                    progress.

                              AINA

                    It's hidden deep in your

                    unconscious. It will be difficult

                    to obtain it.

          Aina stands and walks over to the coffee maker. She prepares

          her coffee.

                              AINA

                    When do you think you will be able

                    to come back in?

                              YUUTO

                    I can try to come back in a couple

                    of days. I was thinking about going

                    to see my mother. I haven't seen

                    her in a month, with work and my...

                    personal feelings toward her.

                              AINA

                    You haven't mentioned your mother

                    that much. Tell me about her.

          She walks back over and sits in her chair.

                              YUUTO

                    I don't remember much before I was

                    thirteen. After that I can remember

                    just fine. When I went to see her a

                    month ago, she was very kind and

                    gentle, something I wasn't

                    particularly familiar with. It

                    didn't seem right. 

                              AINA

                    It sounds to be that you are

                    suffering from Dissociative Amnesia

                    as well. If you cannot remember the

                    first thirteen years of your life,

                    that is a serious problem. So,

                    because you don't recognize her,

                    you feel distant.

                              YUUTO

                    Yes.

                              AINA

                    I suggest talking to her. Ask her

                    about the years that you don't

                    remember and see if anything comes

                    up that you might remember. Then it

                    might be easier to recognize her.

          Yuuto nods.

          EXT. STREET. NOON.

          Ninette and Yuuto are walking along the sidewalk. Ninette

          has a long blond wig on.

                              NINETTE

                    So, she wants you to go see your

                    mother.

                              YUUTO

                    Yeah.

                              NINETTE

                    Are you sure that is a good idea?

                              YUUTO

                    It's really the only choice I have.

                    I can't go on not knowing almost

                    half of my life.

                              NINETTE

                    True.

          They are silent for a moment.

                              NINETTE

                    May I ask you a question?

                              YUUTO

                    Yeah.

                              NINETTE

                    What are you going to do after the

                    mission is over?

                              YUUTO

                    Haven't really thought about it. I

                    was thinking of doing some

                    traveling or something like that.

                    It's been awhile since I left

                    Japan.

                              NINETTE

                    May I tag along?

          Yuuto stops.

                              YUUTO

                    You have to go back to Monaco.

          Ninette stops and looks back at him.

                              NINETTE

                    I'm not going back.

                              YUUTO

                    Uh?

                              NINETTE

                    Since I came here, I found out my

                    father lied to me and sold me to

                    the yakuza, my assistant wanted me

                    dead, that I'm an illegitimate

                    child, I killed my mother. I can't

                    help but think that I'm not wanted

                    there and that my father doesn't

                    want me. So I made the decision

                    myself that I'm not leaving.

          She starts to walk towards him.

                              NINETTE

                    Besides, I found something here

                    that I care about more than my

                    place in Monaco.

          He blushes and walks past her.

                              NINETTE

                    Hey! You're the one that confessed

                    to me.

                              YUUTO

                    I don't remember that.

                              NINETTE

                    Bullshit!

          Yuuto starts to run and she chases after him. After running

          a few blocks, Yuuto stops, focused on something ahead of

          him. Ninette runs into him.

                              NINETTE

                    What is it?

          She looks where he is looking and spots a shadowy figure in

          the distance. SAKAMOTO SEIICHI walks into the light.

                              SEIICHI

                    Hello Ninette.

          Yuuto puts himself in front of Ninette.

                              YUUTO

                    Who are you?

                              SEIICHI

                    I'm Ninette's fiance, Sakamoto

                    Seiichi.

                              NINETTE

                    Seiichi?

                              SEIICHI

                    That's right. Now, be a good little

                    girl and come here.

          Yuuto pulls out his gun and shoots at Seiichi who dodges it.

                              YUUTO

                    Ninette, let's go.

          The two of them run away from him. Seiichi watches as they

          leave.

                              SEIICHI

                    This is going to be fun.

          INT/EXT. KAZUO'S HOUSE. MID-AFTERNOON.

          Daisuke yawns as he walks into the kitchen where Ryoichi,

          Ken'ichi, Yumiko, and Kazuo are sitting at the bar. The cook

          is preparing dinner.

                              RYOICHI

                    Rise and shine, sleepyhead. Why are

                    you so sleepy?

                              DAISUKE

                    I was up late at Kiyomi's

                    apartment.

                              RYOICHI

                    How is she?

                              DAISUKE

                    She's good. She can fully walk on

                    her own again and there is no trace

                    of the neurotoxin that they can

                    find.

                              YUMIKO

                    That's great.

                              RYOICHI

                    Yumiko, can you take Ken'ichi

                    outside?

                              YUMIKO

                    Of course.

          Ken'ichi waves goodbye to everyone as him and Yumiko leave

          the room.

                              KAZUO

                    Have you gotten any word from

                    Watanabe-san?

                              DAISUKE

                    They still can't find anything.

                    Finding these last sectors are

                    going to be difficult.

                              RYOICHI

                    It's been two weeks, they're taking

                    their damn time with it.

                              KAZUO

                    Can Shinobu figure anything out?

                              DAISUKE

                    He's with his wife right now. She

                    has an ultrasound appointment

                    today.

                              KAZUO

                    Figures he's busy. Where's the

                    princess and Yuuto?

                              RYOICHI

                    Yuuto went to go see his

                    psychologist again today and

                    Ninette went with him.

                              KAZUO

                    So it's just us.

                              RYOICHI

                    Looks like it.

          They hear the front door open and close. They hear running

          footsteps before Yuuto and Ninette charge in. Both are out

          of breath.

                              DAISUKE

                    What are you two out of breath for?

          Both of them try to say something before they hear gunshots

          outside.

                              RYOICHI

                    Oh god!

          Ryoichi runs out of the room.

                              DAISUKE

                    Who followed you here?

                              NINETTE

                    Seiichi?

                              DAISUKE

                    Who?

                              YUUTO

                    Yakuza!

                              KAZUO

                    Everyone to the study, now!

          Everyone runs out of the room and down the hallway to the

          study. Kazuo hits the cabinet doors to open up his armory.

          He starts handing out guns to everyone. Ryoichi, carrying

          Ken'ichi, and Yumiko run in.

                              KAZUO

                    Ryoichi, get them downstairs!

                              RYOICHI

                    Right.

          Ryoichi and them leave. Yuuto turns to Ninette.

                              YUUTO

                    You go with them.

                              NINETTE

                    But...

                              YUUTO

                    No buts, just go.

          Ninette nods and runs back into the hallway. Kazuo, Yuuto,

          Daisuke and the cook, now armed, head for the entrance hall.

          Both of the windows are busted and the curtains are torn.

          Yuuto and Daisuke cover on one of the windows while Kazuo

          and the cook take the other. Kazuo quickly peeks out of the

          window and ducks back.

                              KAZUO

                    Three cars, all doors open. I'm

                    guessing six to twelve men.

                              YUUTO

                    I don't remember being chased by

                    three cars.

                              DAISUKE

                    It doesn't matter what happened

                    then, we have them now.

          Ryoichi runs into the entrance hall and ducks down beside

          Kazuo.

                              RYOICHI

                    Did I miss anything?

                              KAZUO

                    Not really.

                              COOK

                    Sir!

                              KAZUO

                    Yes?

                              COOK

                    I'll distract them. You shoot down

                    as many as you can.

                              KAZUO

                    You will do no such thing.

                              COOK

                    It was a pleasure serving you.

          She stands and walks out of the front door and starts

          shooting at the cars.

                              KAZUO

                    Don't!

          They hear several gunshots.

                              KAZUO

                    Now!

          The four of them take aim start shooting at the cars. They

          take down four men before they duck back down. Kazuo peers

          out to see his cook dead on the steps.

                              KAZUO

                    D****t!

                              YUUTO

                    What now?

          Kazuo stands.

                              KAZUO

                    I'm going to the second floor to

                    snipe. I'll call you when I figure

                    out how many men are really there.

                              DAISUKE

                    Be careful.

                              KAZUO

                    You do the same.

          Kazuo leaves the room.

          INT. OGAWA APARTMENT. MID-AFTERNOON.

          Shinobu and Natsumi are sitting on the couch looking at the

          ultrasound picture.

                              NATSUMI

                    I can't believe this is really it.

                    I'm so excited, I can't stand it.

                              SHINOBU

                    Me either.

                              NATSUMI

                    Have you thought about any names

                    yet?

                              SHINOBU

                    Is it bad to say I haven't?

                              NATSUMI

                    Well, its still early. You have

                    five months to decide. I was

                    thinking Ayame for a girl. What do

                    you think?

                              SHINOBU

                    It is a beautiful name.

          Shinobu's phone goes off.

                              SHINOBU

                    Excuse me.

          Shinobu walks away and answers.

                              SHINOBU

                    Hello?

                              DAISUKE

                         (over phone)

                    The yakuza found Ishikawa's. We're

                    trapped inside.

                              SHINOBU

                    How did they find you?

                              DAISUKE

                         (over phone)

                    Seiichi found Yuuto and Ninette

                    today and I think he followed them

                    but I'm not sure. In case they know

                    where we live, I suggest being

                    really cautious opening the door.

                              SHINOBU

                    What?

          They hear a knock on the door. Shinobu looks over at it.

          Natsumi walks over to the door.

                              SHINOBU

                    Natsumi, don't.

          Natsumi looks back at him.

                              SHINOBU

                    Get in the bedroom, now.

          Natsumi is filled with fear as she runs into the bedroom and

          closes the door. Shinobu goes over to his suit jacket and

          pulls out his gun. He steps slowly to the door. The door

          suddenly flies open, startling Shinobu. Seiichi walks in.

                              SEIICHI

                    Are you Ogawa Shinobu?

                              SHINOBU

                    Are you Sakamoto Seiichi?

                              SEIICHI

                    Bingo.

          Seiichi kicks the gun out of Shinobu's hand and tackles him.

          Shinobu throws him into the wall and goes for a punch which

          Seiichi grabs and twists his arm. Seiichi kicks Shinobu into

          the coffee table. Seiichi gets on top of him and starts to

          strangle him, Shinobu tries to push him off but starts to

          run out of air. Seiichi smiles maniacally when a shotgun

          barrel appears in his peripheral vision. Natsumi is shown

          holding the shotgun.

                              NATSUMI

                    Let him go.

          Seiichi releases Shinobu who starts to cough for air.

          Seiichi stands and backs up towards the door.

                              SEIICHI

                    Guess it's not so smart to try a

                    kill a married man.

          Natsumi c***s the gun.

                              NATSUMI

                    Get out!

          Seiichi runs out of the apartment. Natsumi lowers the gun

          and closes the door. She runs to Shinobu and knells next to

          him.

                              NATSUMI

                    Are you alright?

                              SHINOBU

                    I'm fine. Good job finding the

                    shotgun.

                              NATSUMI

                    I completely found it by accident.

                              SHINOBU

                    Either way.

                              NATSUMI

                    Who was that guy?

                              SHINOBU

                    Sakamoto Seiichi, one of the men

                    that we're after.

                              NATSUMI

                    How did he find us?

                              SHINOBU

                    I don't know. They found the others

                    too. I need to call Watanabe-san

                    and get somewhere over there. I'm

                    not leaving you here by yourself.

          He pulls out his phone as he tries to stand. He puts his

          hand on his side falls to his knees in pain.

                              NATSUMI

                    Shinobu!

                              SHINOBU

                    I'm fine.

          He opens his phone and dials.

          INT/EXT. KAZUO'S HOUSE. MID-AFTERNOON.

          Yuuto, Ryoichi and Daisuke are still under the windows,

          waiting. Daisuke's phone vibrates on the floor and he picks

          it up.

                              DAISUKE

                    Yeah?

          On the second floor, Kazuo has his sniper rifle up by the

          window.

                              KAZUO

                    There are four more men outside. I

                    have a perfect shot to take one of

                    them out. While they are

                    distracted, the three of you can

                    try to shoot the rest of them down.

          Daisuke peers out of the window to check.

                              DAISUKE

                    Alright. We'll wait for your shot.

          Daisuke closes the phone.

                              DAISUKE

                    Get ready.

          All of them take their aim. There is silence until they hear

          the sound of police sirens. They see the men outside scatter

          into their cars. Three shots are heard from the second

          floor. Daisuke looks out to see bullet holes in the

          windshield in each car. Four police cars pull up as the last

          man jumps out of the car. He is stopped by all of the cops

          that have come out of their cars.

                              DAISUKE

                    Thank god.

          The men relax. Suddenly, there is an explosion from one side

          of the house. The men duck as debris from the ceiling falls

          on them. When the falling debris stops, Yuuto runs through

          the house to the basement door. He opens it and sees that

          the stairs have fallen apart.

                              YUUTO

                    Ninette! Nakana-san! Ryoichi!

          Ryoichi and Daisuke come up behind him.

                              DAISUKE

                    I'll go check on Ishikawa.

          Daisuke runs into the other room. Ryoichi takes off his

          jacket.

                              RYOICHI

                    Help me down. I'll go find them.

          Ryoichi goes down until the stairs stop. He holds up his arm

          for Yuuto. Yuuto grabs them and helps lower Ryoichi down

          after he slides off the edge.

                              RYOICHI

                    Alright, that's good.

          Yuuto lets go and Ryoichi lands on his hands and feet.

                              RYOICHI

                    You got a flashlight on you?

                              YUUTO

                    There's one in the kitchen, hold

                    on.

          Yuuto walks away. Ryoichi pulls out his phone and shines it

          to show rubble covering the floor. Yuuto comes back to the

          edge and holds the flashlight down.

                              YUUTO

                    Here.

          Ryoichi takes it and turns it on. He walks over to the

          rubble and starts to move it out of the way.

                              YUUTO

                    Do you need help?

                              RYOICHI

                    You stay up there in case I need

                    help getting them up.

          Ryoichi lays the flashlight down and pulls a large piece of

          rubble out of the way of the door. He tries to turn the

          handle but it is stuck.

                              RYOICHI

                    Yumiko! Ken'ichi! Ninette!

                              NINETTE

                         (from other side)

                    Ryoichi!

                              RYOICHI

                    Are you alright!

                              NINETTE

                         (from other side)

                    Everyone is fine.

                              RYOICHI

                    I'm going to try to get the door

                    open. I suggest getting out of the

                    way.

          Ryoichi steps back from the door and kicks it hard but it

          doesn't budge.

                              RYOICHI

                    S**t.

          He kicks it again with no luck. He backs up and rams his

          entire body into the door. The door flies open and Ryoichi

          looks up to see Ken'ichi running towards him.

                              KEN'ICHI

                    Daddy! I'm scared!

          Ryoichi kneels down and hugs him.

                              RYOICHI

                    I'm just glad you're okay.

          Yumiko quickly runs to them and hugs them both. Ninette

          walks out of the room and sees Yuuto.

                              NINETTE

                    You're okay.

                              YUUTO

                    Come on, let's get you out.

          A couple hours later, Shinobu and Natsumi are walking toward

          the house. There are several police cars, ambulances, and

          fire trucks. The two of them walk up to the police office

          and Shinobu shows him his badge. The police officer lets

          them through and they walk to the sidewalk where Ninette,

          Yumiko and Ken'ichi are.

                              SHINOBU

                    Where are the others?

                              NINETTE

                    They went inside to find Ishikawa.

                    They can't find him.

                              SHINOBU

                    What happened to the house?

                              NINETTE

                    There was an explosion. Kawano had

                    to get us out of the basement.

                              SHINOBU

                    Natsumi, stay with them. I'm going

                    to go inside and help.

                              NATSUMI

                    Be careful.

          Shinobu kisses her forehead and runs inside of the house.

          On the second floor of the house, Daisuke, Ryoichi, and

          Yuuto are searching through the rooms calling out for Kazuo.

          Yuuto's leg falls through the floor.

                              DAISUKE

                    Yuuto, be careful. We don't need to

                    lose someone else.

          Yuuto pulls his leg out and continues through the hall.

          Ryoichi looks into one room.

                              RYOICHI

                    Guys, over here.

          Yuuto and Daisuke go over to him and enter the room where

          there is a pile of rubble. Daisuke sees a hand sticking out

          from the debris.

                              DAISUKE

                    Be careful moving everything.

          The three of them start to pull off the debris. Daisuke

          pulls off one piece that reveals Kazuo's face. His eyes are

          closed. Yuuto checks his vitals.

                              YUUTO

                    He's alive. Let's hurry this up.

          They continue to remove the debris. Shinobu enters and

          begins to help.

          A few minutes later, Ninette looks back at the door to see

          the men carrying Kazuo out of the house. Two paramedics with

          a stretcher run to them and help lay Kazuo down on it. They

          carry him into the ambulance and drive off. They all meet up

          at the sidewalk.

                              NINETTE

                    Is he alright?

                              RYOICHI

                    He's unconscious but I think he's

                    going to be okay.

                              DAISUKE

                    I'm going to call Kiyomi to see if

                    she's okay.

          Daisuke walks off.

                              SHINOBU

                    How did they find out about us?

                              RYOICHI

                    No idea. I'm not liking where this

                    is going.

                              YUUTO

                    No one is safe now.

          Yuuto realizes something and runs back into the house.

                              RYOICHI

                    Where is he going?

          Daisuke walks back over to them.

                              DAISUKE

                    I'm going to Kiyomi's apartment to

                    pick her up. I don't want her

                    trying to make it over here on her

                    own.

                              RYOICHI

                    That's a good idea. Go ahead.

          Daisuke leaves. Ryoichi and Shinobu look over to see Kenta

          walking towards them.

                              KENTA

                    Is everyone alright?

                              SHINOBU

                    We just sent Ishikawa to the

                    hospital.

                              KENTA

                    Is he alright?

                              SHINOBU

                    He should be fine. We'll probably

                    head over there to check on him.

                              KENTA

                    We need to hide your families

                    somewhere until it is safe. We can

                    take care of them at headquarters.

                              RYOICHI

                    I'll make sure they get there safe.

                    Ogawa, you go onto the hospital.

                              SHINOBU

                    Alright.

          Yuuto runs out of the house with his mother's box. He walks

          down the sidewalk away from everyone. Ninette watches him

          leave.

          INT. REHABILITATION CENTER. EVENING.

          Sumiko is walking through her room, watering her flowers.

          There is a knock on the door. She turns around to see Yuuto

          in the doorway. He's holding the box.

                              SUMIKO

                    Yuu-kun, you came back!

                              YUUTO

                    Yuu-kun?

                              SUMIKO

                    Oh, I guess you haven't heard that

                    in so long. I used to call you that

                    when you were younger.

          She spots the box.

                              SUMIKO

                    What do you have there?

          Yuuto walks towards her and hands the box to her.

                              YUUTO

                    I took this after you left last

                    time and I wanted to give it back

                    to you.

          She takes it and looks at it sadly.

                              SUMIKO

                    This box contains all I have left

                    of your father.

                              YUUTO

                    It belonged to him?

          Sumiko nods.

                              SUMIKO

                    I loved him dearly. I miss him

                    terribly.

          She walks over to her bed and lays the box on her bedside

          table. Yuuto pulls out the picture of his father from his

          jacket pocket and looks at it.

                              YUUTO

                    Do you know what happened to him?

                              SUMIKO

                    No, I don't. It was so long ago and

                    he never came back.

                              YUUTO

                    He was killed.

          She turns to him.

                              SUMIKO

                    What?

                              YUUTO

                    I remember what happened to him. He

                    was killed right in front of me. I

                    think that might be why I'm the way

                    I am.

                              SUMIKO

                    What do you mean by that?

                              YUUTO

                    I have multiple personalities.

          Sumiko is shocked and she goes to hug him but he backs away.

                              YUUTO

                    I'm sorry. I don't like it when

                    people touch me.

                              SUMIKO

                    Why didn't you mention it before?

                              YUUTO

                    I didn't know it. I didn't know it

                    until two years ago. I know how

                    long they've been around though but

                    it never occurred to me that they

                    were taking over my body. I thought

                    they were just figments of my

                    imagination.

                              SUMIKO

                    Were they taking over when you were

                    with me?

          Yuuto walks away and sits in one of the chairs.

                              YUUTO

                    Since I can't remember most of the

                    first thirteen years of my life all

                    that well, probably. I don't

                    remember growing up with you much.

                    That's why I don't remember why I

                    left home.

          Sumiko turns and walks towards the window.

                              SUMIKO

                    You can't remember it.

                              YUUTO

                    I can't. That's why I don't

                    remember my father. I remembered

                    where we lived and some memories

                    came back when I went to the house

                    but they were vague.

                              SUMIKO

                    What did you remember?

                              YUUTO

                    I remembered the night of father's

                    death. I remembered not wanting to

                    go into the kitchen. I remembered a

                    door being kicked opened.

                    Everything is so dark. I'm

                    undergoing hypnosis with a

                    psychologist and I can't...

                              SUMIKO

                    Hypnosis? Can't they plant false

                    memories into people?

                              YUUTO

                    I trust my psychologist. The

                    questions she ask are vague enough

                    to not fix any memory.

                              SUMIKO

                    Did you recognize the woman who

                    killed him?

                              YUUTO

                    I didn't...I never said it was a

                    woman.

          Sumiko turns around.

                              SUMIKO

                    I just... I just assumed. Don't

                    listen to me. I'm still surprised

                    of the news about Ichiro.

                              YUUTO

                    He died in our house, how did you

                    not know?

                              SUMIKO

                    I probably wasn't there.

          He stands and walks towards him.

                              YUUTO

                    You left me at home alone at three

                    years old?

                              SUMIKO

                    I was foolish, I was only twenty

                    when I had you.

                              YUUTO

                    That is no excuse.

                              SUMIKO

                    I can't remember.

                              YUUTO

                    There was blood everywhere, even on

                    me. I remember it.

                              SUMIKO

                    I told you she planted those false

                    memories. If I don't remember, then

                    it didn't happen.

                              YUUTO

                    Then how do you explain father not

                    being here?

                              SUMIKO

                         (yelling)

                    I don't know!

          Yuuto walks away from her.

                              SUMIKO

                         (calm)

                    I'm sorry I snapped. I didn't mean

                    it.

                              YUUTO

                    It's time for me to go.

          Yuuto leaves the room.

          INT. HOSPITAL. NIGHT.

          Kazuo is sitting up in his bed. Shinobu is sitting in the

          chair next to the window.

                              KAZUO

                    I hope they didn't find out about

                    Jun and Haru. They have no way of

                    defending themselves.

                              SHINOBU

                    I don't know. They've only attacked

                    inside Tokyo so far. Maybe they

                    don't.

                              KAZUO

                    We need to send all of them away.

                    Somewhere they won't know to look.

                              SHINOBU

                    Out of Japan, maybe.

                              KAZUO

                    I have an apartment on Manhattan.

                              SHINOBU

                    Do we want to send them that far

                    away?

                              KAZUO

                    The farther the better.

                              SHINOBU

                    True. I guess New York would fine.

                              KAZUO

                    And don't worry. There is someone

                    there that can take care of them.

                              SHINOBU

                    I'm worried about Natsumi

                    traveling.

                              KAZUO

                    How far long is she?

                              SHINOBU

                    Four months.

                              KAZUO

                    It will be fine. Usually its the

                    first three months that doctors

                    will tell her not to travel. She

                    should be fine.

                              SHINOBU

                    Alright. We'll send Yumiko,

                    Ryoichi's son, Natsumi, and Kiyomi.

                              KAZUO

                    Yes. I'll call Jun to see if

                    anything has happened yet and tell

                    her to be careful.

                              SHINOBU

                    Call from the hospital phone in

                    case they are tracking our calls.

                    I'm going to get us new phones

                    tomorrow and try to fix them so

                    they cannot be tracked so easily.

                              KAZUO

                    Alright.

                              SHINOBU

                    I'll call Watanabe-san and tell him

                    our plan. Hopefully, Daisuke was

                    able to get to your sister in time.

                              KAZUO

                    I'm sure he did.

          Shinobu goes to leave the room but grabs his side in pain.

                              KAZUO

                    Are you alright?

                              SHINOBU

                    I probably need to get an X-ray in

                    case one of my ribs are broken.

                    Seiichi attacked me this afternoon

                    and kicked me. But it's not a

                    constant pain, it only hurts a few

                    times.

                              KAZUO

                    I would still get it checked out.

                              SHINOBU

                    Yeah. I will.

          INT. AIRPORT. MORNING.

          Everyone except for Yuuto and Ninette are standing in the

          terminal. Kiyomi is with Daisuke and Kazuo, Ken'ichi and

          Yumiko are with Ryoichi, and Natsumi is with Shinobu.

                              DAISUKE

                    You'll be landing at JFK Airport.

                              KAZUO

                    A friend of mine will be there to

                    take you to my apartment.

                              KIYOMI

                    Are you sure this is a good idea?

                              KAZUO

                    It's the only choice we have if we

                    want to keep all of you safe.

          Kiyomi looks down. Daisuke puts his hands on her shoulders.

                              DAISUKE

                    Don't worry about us. Make sure

                    everyone is taken care of and don't

                    forget to take your medicine.

                              KIYOMI

                    I won't forget.

          The two of them hug and when they separate, Kazuo and Kiyomi

          hug. Over where Ryoichi is, Ryoichi hugs and kisses Yumiko.

          He leans down to Ken'ichi and hugs him.

                              RYOICHI

                    You be good, okay? Behave and

                    listen to all of the girls.

                              KEN'ICHI

                    I will.

          Ryoichi pulls out his wallet and pulls out money to hand to

          Ken'ichi.

                              KEN'ICHI

                    What is this for?

                              RYOICHI

                    You're going to New York. Buy

                    souvenirs. I heard they have a huge

                    toy store with a Ferris Wheel

                    inside.

            Ken'ichi's eyes light up.

                              KEN'ICHI

                    Really?

                              RYOICHI

                    Yeah.

                              KEN'ICHI

                    Yay!

          Ryoichi pats Ken'ichi on the head. Over where Shinobu is,

          Shinobu is on his knees with his hand against Natsumi's

          stomach.

                              SHINOBU

                         (to Natsumi's stomach)

                    You be alright too. Don't cause

                    your mother too much trouble.

          Natsumi smiles as Shinobu stands.

                              NATSUMI

                    Be careful.

                              SHINOBU

                    I will.

          The two of them hug when Daisuke walks up.

                              DAISUKE

                    Its time for them to go.

          Shinobu and Natsumi separate. Natsumi and the others grab

          their things and walk away towards security. The men watch

          them leave.

          INT. HOTEL. MORNING.

          Yuuto is unpacking in his new room. Ninette turns into his

          room and taps on the door frame. Yuuto looks back.

                              NINETTE

                    Do you need help?

                              YUUTO

                    No, thank you.

          Ninette walks in and sits in a chair. She watches him as he

          continues to unpack.

                              NINETTE

                    Yuuto, can I ask you a question?

                              YUUTO

                    Sure.

                              NINETTE

                    If Seiichi is able to kidnap me,

                    would you come after me?

                              YUUTO

                    Of course, its my job to make sure

                    you are safe.

                              NINETTE

                    What about if it wasn't your job?

                    Would you save me based on

                    instinct?

          Yuuto stops. He turns to her.

                              YUUTO

                    Yes, because you shouldn't have to

                    marry someone who doesn't deserve

                    you.

          Ninette smiles and stands.

                              NINETTE

                    Alright. I trust you. I better see

                    you if the time comes.

          Yuuto laughs.

                              YUUTO

                    Alright.

                              NINETTE

                    Yuuto?

                              YUUTO

                    Yeah?

                              NINETTE

                    You have a beautiful smile, don't

                    hide it.

          Ninette walks out of the room. Yuuto looks in the mirror in

          the room and sees the figure in the blue dress. He turns and

          sees it behind him. It starts to come towards him and he

          backs up from it. It's voice is indistinguishable.

                              ???

                    I'm coming for you, Yuuto. You will

                    be mine. I hold your future in my

                    hands.

          The figure backs him up against the wall and touches his

          face. He collapses and covers his ears. He starts to scream.

          Ninette runs back into the room.

                              NINETTE

                    Yuuto! Yuuto!

          She runs to him and holds him.

                              YUUTO(NOBORO)

                    She can't come back... evil, mad,

                    insanity! Don't let her come back!

                              NINETTE

                    Who?

                              YUUTO(NOBORO)

                    The lady in the blue dress... she's

                    coming for us... he can't know, he

                    can't find out!

                              NINETTE

                    Can't know what?

                              YUUTO(NOBORO)

                    Can't know it was her!

          Yuuto collapses again but doesn't wake up. Ninette looks at

          him with fear in her eyes.

          INT. PSYCHOLOGIST'S OFFICE. NOON.

          Aina is sitting at her desk, looking at some files, when she

          hears a knock on the door.

                              AINA

                    Come in.

          Ninette opens the door.

                              AINA

                    Miss Pascal, I'm surprised to see

                    you here. Please sit.

          Ninette sits in the chair in front of Aina's desk.

                              AINA

                    What can I do for you today?

                              NINETTE

                    Nishimura-san, I wanted to ask if

                    you will stop trying to help Yuuto

                    find out who killed his father.

                              AINA

                    What do you mean?

                              NINETTE

                    I know he wants to figure it out

                    but I fear that it is hurting him

                    more than we think. I fear that if

                    it goes any further, that fifth

                    personality is going to come out

                    and it might hurt him.

                              AINA

                    I understand your concern, Miss

                    Pascal, but it is his decision

                    whether he wants to stop or not. He

                    has that choice.

                              NINETTE

          Aina shows concern. She rises and walks over to the window.

                              AINA

                    that memory was the initial trauma,

                    the one event that started this

                    disorder. If he doesn't know it, I

                    can't help him fully. He has to

                    know his past. I wants to remember

                    everything that has happened to his

                    body. He wants to know this memory.

                    All I can do is suggest to him that

                    he is not ready for the truth of

                    the memory, but it is ultimately

                    his decision if he wants to

                    remember it or not.

                              NINETTE

                    But...

                              AINA

                    Like I said, it's his decision. I

                    have, too, felt that we might be

                    going too far for him to take but

                    if he wants to continue, I have to

                    fulfill his wish. You are not the

                    only one who is concerned for his

                    well being.

          Ninette stands and bows slightly.

                              NINETTE

                    I'm sorry for questioning your

                    judgment. I hope that you can help

                    him as much as you are able. Excuse

                    me.

          Ninette goes to exit.

                              AINA

                    Something is bothering you, Miss

                    Pascal.

          Ninette stops.

                              AINA

                    It is not just Yuuto's condition

                    that is bothering you, is it?

                              NINETTE

                    I, um, it's nothing important.

                              AINA

                    If it's bothering you this much it

                    must be important. I'm sure you

                    have dealt with psychological

                    traumas that you would like to

                    express, correct?

          Ninette walks back to the chair and sits.

          Aina sits back behind her desk.

                    love him and I want to make sure he

                    gets better. I'm afraid of being

                    exposed to without him being

                    afraid.

                              AINA

                    How is this a mistake?

                              NINETTE

                         (loudly)

                    Because I know I can't be with him!

                    (pause, calmly) I can't be with

                    him. I let myself get too attached.

          Aina watches her.

                              AINA

                    It is human nature to look for

                    intimacy, no matter where or who it

                    comes from. It is common for people

                    to get attached to others who they

                    cannot have. But there is always

                    someone who you think you cannot

                    have that will turn out to be the

                    one. So what, if you are attached

                    to him. If he is the one, you will

                    realize it. Who cares where you

                    come from or who your family is, if

                    you found your lover, catch him

                    while you still have the chance.

                              NINETTE

                    What if he's not the one?

          Aina stands and walks over to Ninette. She leans in.

                              AINA

          Ninette stares at her and then looks away.

          INT. HOTEL. MID-AFTERNOON.NIGHT.

          Everyone except for Ninette is now gathered in the living

          room of the hotel. Daisuke is sitting down, holding a note,

          reading it to himself. The others are scattered among the

          room.

                              RYOICHI

                    What does it say, Uchida?

          Daisuke stands.

                              DAISUKE

                    He knows about mine and Ogawa's

                    families in Sapporo.

                              SHINOBU

                    What?

                              DAISUKE

                    He said that if we don't hand

                    Ninette or the money over to him,

                    he will send his group to kill

                    them.

                              SHINOBU

                    They can't do this!

          Daisuke gets up in Shinobu's face.

                              DAISUKE

                    He will do everything in his power

                    to make sure that he gets what he

                    wants!

                              SHINOBU

                    So what do you suggest we do? Sit

                    back and know that our families are

                    going to be slaughtered?

                              NINETTE

                    I will take care of it.

          They all look to see Ninette in the doorway. Behind her is

          her father, KING ALBERT PASCAL.

                              ALBERT

                    Actually, I am going to be taking

                    care of it.

          All of the men stand and bow.

                              ALBERT

                    I have come to retrieve my

                    daughter. It seems that she has

                    grown accustomed to this place and

                    doesn't want to leave, seeing as

                    how she has everything she needs

                    here.

          He looks over to her and she looks away. All of the men

          straighten up.

                              ALBERT

                    I will take care of my debt and

                    take my daughter back to Monaco

                    where she will be in no danger.

          Albert turns toward Ninette. The following conversation in

          in French.

                              ALBERT

                    Let us go, Ninette.

          Albert starts to head toward the entrance door. Ninette

          stays there.

                              NINETTE

                    No.

          Albert turns toward her.

                              ALBERT

                    What?

          She turns to face him.

                              NINETTE

                    I'm not going back to Monaco. I've

                    made up my mind.

                              ALBERT

                    You are going to come back home.

                              NINETTE

                    I know the truth, dad!

          Albert is silent.

                              NINETTE

                    I know I'm an illegitimate child. I

                    know who my real mother is. I found

                    that out moments before I killed

                    her because I thought she was

                    lying. I know the truth about

                    Cosette and how she wanted me dead

                    and how she was going to take my

                    place. You wanted me gone, didn't

                    you?

                              ALBERT

                    Ninette, I...

                              NINETTE

                    Didn't you!

          Albert looks away from her.

                              NINETTE

                    All these years, I thought you

                    loved me. You ended up selling me

                    to the f*****g yakuza. What kind of

                    father are you?

                              ALBERT

                    I kept you in Monaco so you

                    wouldn't have to go through with

                    it.

                              NINETTE

                    You sent me here anyway. If you

                    didn't want to me to go, then I

                    shouldn't be here in the first

                    place.

                              ALBERT

                    Fine! Yes, I wanted you gone. I

                    made the deal before your two older

                    sisters died. When they did die,

                    you became the only heir to the

                    throne so I couldn't let you come

                    here. However, when your little

                    sister was born, everything

                    changed. Since an illegitimate

                    child cannot be king or queen, I

                    had to find a way to, for lack of a

                    better term, get rid of you. I

                    remembered the deal that I never

                    went through with and it was my

                    only option.

                              NINETTE

                    So what were you going to do after

                    we left here? Were you just going

                    to hand me over to him?

          Albert hesitates.

                              NINETTE

                    Oh, don't act like you care, just

                    say it.

                              ALBERT

                    Yes! Yes, I was.

          The following is in Japanese.

                              KAZUO

                    You b*****d.

                              DAISUKE

                    What did he say?

                              KAZUO

          Ninette looks back. Ryoichi steps up to her. Kazuo follows,

          and then Daisuke and Shinobu.

                              DAISUKE

                    You hired us to protect your

                    daughter and we are going to do

                    exactly that, even if it is from

                    her own father.

                              ALBERT

                    This is absurd. How dare you stand

                    up to me!

                              SHINOBU

                    I suggest you leave, you have

                    caused us more trouble than you're

                    worth.

                              ALBERT

                    You will all pay for this. Good

                    luck keeping your families safe.

          Albert quickly leaves the room. Ninette looks at all of the

          men as they look at her.

                              NINETTE

                    Why? Why did you guys stand up for

                    me?

                              DAISUKE

                    You don't deserve the way he is

                    treating you.

                              RYOICHI

                    Just to spite him, you should go

                    back and demand for the throne.

          Ninette chuckles.

                              NINETTE

                    I can't leave.

          She looks at Yuuto.

                              NINETTE

                    There's someone here that I want to

                    be there for. I don't want to be

                    out of his life.

          Yuuto looks at her and smiles.

          Later that night, Daisuke, Ryoichi and Shinobu are sitting

          around the hotel phone. Daisuke is on it at the moment.

                              DAISUKE

                    So how is everything going over

                    there?

                              KIYOMI

                         (over phone)

                    Everything's fine. Everyone is

                    settled in.

                              DAISUKE

                    That's great.

                              RYOICHI

                    Can I talk to Ken'ichi?

                              DAISUKE

                    Is Ken'ichi awake? His father wants

                    to talk to him.

                              KIYOMI

                         (over phone)

                    Yeah, he's wide awake. Hold on.

          In Yuuto's bedroom, Yuuto and Ninette are sitting on the

          bed. Yuuto looks worried.

                              YUUTO

                    Are you sure you want to do this?

                              NINETTE

                    I don't want Shinobu or Daisuke's

                    family to be harmed because of me.

                    I have to do something. I have the

                    money that my father owes, I just

                    have to give it to Seiichi and it

                    will be over.

                              YUUTO

                    What if he doesn't want the money?

                    What if meeting with him is just a

                    plot to catch us at our weakest

                    point and take you instead.

          Ninette gently takes his hand. He tenses and she pulls back.

                              NINETTE

                    I can trust each of you that that

                    will not happen.

                              YUUTO

                    I will not let that happen.

          Yuuto gently lays his hand on hers. She looks up at him. He

          leans in to kiss her but pulls away.

                              YUUTO

                    I guess I'm not ready yet.

                              NINETTE

                    It's alright. I will wait on you.

          EXT. STREET. NIGHT.

          Seiichi and a couple of men are standing at the end of an

          alley. A black van drives up and stops. Daisuke and Ryoichi

          exit from the front seats, Shinobu, Kazuo, Yuuto and Ninette

          step out from the back. Ninette pulls a briefcase out of the

          back. Ninette leads the men to face Seiichi.

                              SEIICHI

                    Well, I didn't know you were going

                    to bring the entire crew.

                              NINETTE

                    I like to be safe.

                              SEIICHI

                         (Laughing)

                    Safe? What do you have there?

          Ninette opens the briefcase to show two hundred million yen.

                              NINETTE

                    This is the money that my father

                    owes you. I do not want to marry

                    you, so I'm paying you the money to

                    stop everything.

          Seiichi looks at his two men and then back at Ninette.

                              SEIICHI

                    Now, I'll just have both the money

                    and you.

                              NINETTE

                    What?

          From behind Ninette and the men, five yakuza members come up

          and start fighting each of the members. Ninette turns back

          to them in fear. Daisuke's opponent throws him against the

          van. The man fighting Ryoichi punches him in the stomach and

          throws him to the ground, knocking the air out of him.

          Shinobu's opponent kicks him in the head and sends him

          flying into several small crates. Kazuo pins the man he is

          fighting but is knocked down by one of the free men. Yuuto's

          opponent punches him to the ground and grabs his head,

          getting ready to snap his neck. One of Seiichi's henchmen

          comes up and grabs the suitcase from Ninette and tries to

          who it away from him. The henchman succeeds in pulling it

          away. Ninette pulls out her mouse gun and points it at

          Seiichi.

                              NINETTE

                    Stop!

          All of the men stop. Yuuto pulls his opponent's hands off of

          him.

                              NINETTE

                    Don't hurt them. You have the

                    money, now go.

                              MAN 1

                    Hey, little girl.

          Ninette looks behind her and sees each of the men holding

          their guns up, aiming at each of the members.

                              SEIICHI

                    You are outnumbered princess. If

                    you shoot, all of them will die. If

                    you haven't guessed yet, I don't

                    like playing fair. Give yourself

                    up, and they all will live.

          Ninette looks down at all of the members. She looks back at

          Seiichi. She lowers her gun and drops it. Seiichi walks

          towards her and grabs her chin and pulls her face to his and

          kisses her. Yuuto clinches his fists. She pushes away and he

          slaps her.

                              SEIICHI

                    You're mine now.

          Seiichi pulls Ninette towards his van. He turns back to his

          other henchmen and nods. Each of the men hit each of the

          members in the temple, knocking all of them out. Seiichi

          pushes Ninette in the van and climbs in himself. The

          henchmen run off, leaving the members as it starts to rain.
