Operation: Monte Carlo Ep. 9 There's No Home For You Here

Yuuto continues his search for the truth about his past and finds out grave details while the other members of the group search for Ninette. Will they find her and what will happen to Yuuto?

          EXT. STREET. EARLY MORNING.

          Daisuke opens his eyes. He slowly gets up on all fours and

          looks around to see Shinobu laying in a pile of broken

          crates, Ryoichi and Kazuo lying down behind him, and Yuuto

          lying down to his left. All of them are soaked from the rain

          the previous night.He stands up and limps over to Shinobu

          and shakes him.

                              DAISUKE

                    Shinobu? Shinobu!

          Daisuke checks his vitals and exhales in relief. He goes

          over to each of the other members and checks them, ending

          with Yuuto. He sits down and pulls his phone out of his

          jacket pocket. He realizes it has suffered from water damage

          and he tosses it onto the ground.

                              DAISUKE

                    What do we do now?

                              WOMAN

                    Sir!

          Daisuke looks over and sees a young couple running toward

          him. They stop once they have reached him.

                              WOMAN

                    What happened? Do you need help?

                              DAISUKE

                    It's a long story and I'm fine.

                              MAN

                    What about your friends?

                              DAISUKE

                    I might need help getting them in

                    the van.

                              MAN

                    I will help.

                              DAISUKE

                    Thank you.

          The woman helps him up and they start moving Yuuto towards

          the van.

          INT. HOTEL. LATE MORNING.

          All of the men have recovered and are sitting in the living

          room. All are silent. Yuuto jumps up.

                              YUUTO

                    I'm going to find her.

                              DAISUKE

                    You will do no such thing.

                              YUUTO

                    So we're just going to sit around

                    here and do nothing? We were hired

                    to help her.

                              DAISUKE

                    By her father that doesn't care if

                    she lives or dies.

                              SHINOBU

                    Yuuto, we don't even have a lead on

                    where he might be. Running around

                    mindlessly is just wasting time.

                              YUUTO

                    I can't accept that we can't do

                    anything.

                              DAISUKE

                    Yuuto, you're letting your emotions

                    for her lead you, not logic. We

                    want to help her, but right now we

                    can't.

          Shinobu starts to leave the room.

                              SHINOBU

                    I'm going to the lab to see if I

                    can find anything out. Maybe I can

                    find something in our database.

          He leaves. Ryoichi and Kazuo stand and begin to leave.

                              RYOICHI

                    We're going to go check in

                    Shinagawa. There is usually some

                    yakuza activity down there, maybe

                    we can find some clues.

          The two of them exit. Daisuke stands and walks to Yuuto.

                              DAISUKE

                    I know you want to save her but we

                    can't if we have nothing.

          Yuuto grabs Daisuke's collar.

                              YUUTO

                    I can't just sit around and wait on

                    a clue.

          Daisuke pulls Yuuto's hands off.

                              DAISUKE

                    I understand, but right now, there

                    is nothing else we can do. If we do

                    find her, I'm going to need you to

                    stay here.

                              YUUTO

                    What?

                              DAISUKE

                    I can't help but think your

                    emotions will get in the way of

                    saving her. I can't allow the

                    mission to go awry because of that.

                              YUUTO

                    I promised her I would be there.

                              DAISUKE

                    This is my decision as leader.

                    Please do not argue with me, Yuuto.

                    You know as well as I do that you

                    are unstable when you are

                    emotional. Please understand I'm

                    doing this for the group and

                    Ninette.

          Yuuto walks out of the room and leaves. Daisuke sits back

          down and leans back.

          INT. SEIICHI'S APARTMENT. LATE MORNING.

          Seiichi's apartment is a high-end loft overlooking the city.

          There are two suited yakuza members on either side of the

          doorway leading to the main door. Ninette is sitting on the

          couch with her legs and arms crossed. She hears a door open

          and looks over to see Seiichi coming in through the entrance

          hall.

                              SEIICHI

                    Good afternoon, princess. I assume

                    you've been taken care of.

                              NINETTE

                    I really hope I don't have to deal

                    with you any longer.

                              SEIICHI

                    You still expect your bodyguards to

                    come help you? I'm letting you know

                    that is not going to happen.

                              NINETTE

                    I know they will come after me.

                              SEIICHI

                    Damsel in distress, always thinking

                    she's going to be saved by her

                    knights in shining armour. They

                    have no idea where you are or where

                    to find me. There is no way we'll

                    be hearing from them until our

                    marriage is over.

                              NINETTE

                    Marriage? I told you I'm not

                    marrying you.

                              SEIICHI

                    You have no other choice. I have

                    the place booked for tonight.

                              NINETTE

                    What?

          Seiichi walks slowly towards her.

                              SEIICHI

                    I've had this wedding planned for

                    almost six years. (he leans into

                    Ninette) You're going to go through

                    with whether you like it or not.

          Ninette spits in his face. He wipes his face before he slaps

          her so hard, it knocks her over.

                              SEIICHI

                    You better act like a lady. Don't

                    spit it people's faces.

          Ninette looks at him. She goes to punch him but he stops her

          fist. He pulls out a switchblade and cuts the palm of her

          hand. She screams and falls back into the couch. Seiichi

          rolls his eyes and walks towards one of the guards.

                              SEIICHI

                    Clean her up. Her dress is in the

                    bedroom. Make sure she doesn't

                    cause any trouble.

          He leaves the room. Ninette stares at her wounds and cries.

          INT. SHINOBU'S LAB. NOON.

          Daisuke enters the lab and sees Shinobu typing on his

          computer. A picture of Seiichi is displayed on one of the

          monitors.

                              DAISUKE

                    Have you found anything?

                              SHINOBU

                    I haven't.

                              DAISUKE

                    Have you checked in Shinagawa?

                              SHINOBU

                    No, why?

                              DAISUKE

                    Ryoichi and Ishikawa brought it up.

                    All of the sectors are based in the

                    direction that correlates to the

                    elements of the Wiccan tradition.

                    Wind, water, and earth we have

                    already found. North, East and West

                    have been taken care of. All that's

                    left is fire and South. In the

                    circle of wards, Shinagawa is the

                    south most ward. That's why there

                    are on their way there.

                              SHINOBU

                    That does make sense. That will

                    also narrow down my search. I will

                    check all the records in Shinagawa

                    now.

                              DAISUKE

                    Alright.

                              SHINOBU

                    What is Yuuto doing?

                              DAISUKE

                    I told him to stay out of it. I

                    hate to say it but he might hurt us

                    trying to find and save Ninette.

                              SHINOBU

                    You're right though. I know he

                    cares about her but its better to

                    be safe than sorry.

                              DAISUKE

                    Do you think he'll try anything?

                              SHINOBU

                    He listens to you, Daisuke. He

                    hasn't done anything against what

                    you have said yet. I'm sure he

                    won't try anything.

                              DAISUKE

                    I mean, not with the mission but

                    maybe, suicide.

          Shinobu stops what he is doing and looks at Daisuke.

                              SHINOBU

                    Why would you think that?

                              DAISUKE

                    Well, if I were him and I felt like

                    my members couldn't trust me to

                    carry out a mission to save my

                    girlfriend, I wouldn't know what

                    what to do.

                              SHINOBU

                    They're not dating.

                              DAISUKE

                    Sure seems like it. Have you seen

                    the way those two look at each

                    other?

                              SHINOBU

                    If you looked close enough, you

                    would still see that Yuuto is

                    extremely uncomfortable when she's

                    around him.

          Daisuke sits down. Shinobu continues to work.

                              DAISUKE

                    I guess you're right.

                              SHINOBU

                    Besides, we have already discussed

                    that she can't marry him.

                              DAISUKE

                    Her father has disowned her and she

                    swears she is not going back to

                    Monaco. I can't help but think she

                    really doesn't care about marrying

                    nobility.

                              SHINOBU

                    Yes, but in the state that Yuuto is

                    in, marriage is probably not the

                    best thing.

                              DAISUKE

                    Why do you say that?

                              SHINOBU

                    Personalities can form from new

                    experiences. Can you imagine the

                    personality that might develop if

                    he's exposed to sex?

                              DAISUKE

                    What makes you think he hasn't

                    already done it?

          Shinobu turns and gives him an 'are you serious' look.

                              DAISUKE

                    Yeah, he really doesn't seem like

                    that type of guy. What's the worst

                    that could happen if that happened?

                              SHINOBU

                    Rape.

                              DAISUKE

                    Oh, yeah that would not be good.

          INT. PSYCHOLOGIST'S OFFICE. NOON.

          Aina is reading a book in her office when she hears a knock

          on her door. She walks over to open it, revealing Yuuto. He

          seems impatient.

                              AINA

                    Yuuto-san, I was waiting for you to

                    come back.

                              YUUTO

                    I want to finish it. I want to

                    finish this memory.

          He walks past her and lays on the couch. Aina closes the

          door.

                              AINA

                    I would like to inform you that a

                    friend of yours came by yesterday

                    and warned me about helping you

                    recover this memory.

          Yuuto sits up and looks at her.

                              YUUTO

                    Was it Ninette?

                              AINA

                    I cannot say but they are worried

                    that this might bring out a darker

                    part of you. I am willing to help

                    you if you wish to continue but if

                    you feel that it is getting to

                    personal, please let me know and I

                    will stop.

                              YUUTO

                    I want to know the truth. If this

                    memory is the reason I'm like this,

                    I need to know.

          Aina taps his shoulder for him to lay down and she pulls up

          a chair to sit in.

                              AINA

                    Do you have something to focus on?

          Yuuto grabs the necklace that Ninette gave him.

                              YUUTO

                    Yes.

                              AINA

                    Alright, now close your eyes. Focus

                    on the necklace. Relax, let your

                    body relax.

          Yuuto relaxes, his hand relaxes around the necklace.

                              AINA

                    Yuuto?

                              YUUTO

                    Yes?

                              AINA

                    Are you still here?

                              YUUTO

                    Yes.

                              AINA

                    Take me to your father's murder.

          FLASHBACK.

          The memory of Ichiro fighting the woman plays in Yuuto's

          perspective. Ichiro throws the woman onto the table that

          breaks under her. The woman grabs the knife and tackles

          Ichiro, his head lands right at Yuuto's feet. The woman

          holds the knife above her head with one hand and holds

          Ichiro's face down with the other. The knife comes down into

          Ichiro's neck. Blood splatters onto the woman and on Yuuto.

          Ichiro dies.

                              AINA

                         (voice over)

                    What is happening, Yuuto?

          Yuuto crawls over to Ichiro and holds his hand out to his

          blood covered face.

                              YUUTO

                    I crawled over to my father,

                    he's... dead. I reach out to touch

                    his face.

          The woman grabs Yuuto's arms. The voice sounds scared.

                              ???

                    Yuuto! Don't touch him. He is not

                    going to take you away from me.

          The woman picks up Yuuto and holds him close.

                              ???

                    I'm not going to let anyone take

                    you away from me.

                              YUUTO

                         (voice over)

                    She is holding me. She doesn't want

                    anyone to take me away.

                              AINA

                         (voice over)

                    Is she familiar?

                              YUUTO

                         (voice over)

                    Her voice sounds like I've heard it

                    before but its more malevolent.

                              ???

                    You're mine, Yuuto.

          Her hair slides away from her face revealing a younger

          Sumiko.

                              YUUTO

                         (voice over)

                    No! No!

                              AINA

                         (voice over)

                    What is it?

                              YUUTO(NOBORO)

                         (screaming, voice over)

                    No! She's coming closer! Don't let

                    her in!

                              AINA

                         (voice over)

                    Noboro, who's coming?

                              YUUTO(NOBORO)

                         (screaming, voice over)

                    She's getting closer.

                    She's...almost...developed.

          Yuuto continues to scream.

                              AINA

                         (voice over)

                    Yuuto, when I snap my fingers, you

                    will wake up. One, two, three.

          Aina snaps.

          INT. PSYCHOLOGIST'S OFFICE. NOON.

          Yuuto sits up quickly. He is breathing heavy.

                              AINA

                    What did you see, Yuuto?

                              YUUTO

                    Did she really kill him?

                              AINA

                    Is that what you saw?

          Yuuto turns to her.

                              YUUTO

                    Please tell me it wasn't real.

                    Please tell me it was a planted

                    memory. I don't want it to be real.

          Aina bows her head.

                              AINA

                    I do not plant memories, Yuuto-san.

          Yuuto buries his face in his hands.

                              AINA

                    Who did you see, Yuuto-san?

                              YUUTO

                    My mother. My mother is the woman

                    in the blue dress.

                              AINA

                    Does this have anything to do with

                    the new personality?

                              YUUTO

                    I cannot tell. It's still dark.

          FLASHBACK.

          Sumiko looks at Ichiro's box at the rehabilitation center.

                              SUMIKO

                    I loved him dearly. I miss him

                    terribly.

          INT. PSYCHOLOGIST'S OFFICE. NOON.

          Yuuto looks at Aina.

                              YUUTO

                    Is it possible for someone to kill

                    a person they love?

                              AINA

                    Why do you ask?

                              YUUTO

                    When I saw her recently she said

                    that she missed him and loved him.

                    Why would she kill someone she

                    loved?

                              AINA

                    Didn't you say he was trying to

                    take you away?

                              YUUTO

                    Yes.

                              AINA

                    It sounds like your mother has some

                    sort of attachment disorder. People

                    with severe attachment disorders

                    will do anything to keep the person

                    close, even if it means killing

                    someone. Most mothers have some

                    degree of attachment to their

                    child. If someone threatens to take

                    their child away from them, they

                    will fight back.

          Yuuto looks away from her.

          INT. SHINAGAWA PRINCE HOTEL. NOON.

          Ryoichi and Kazuo walk up to an elderly woman who is

          sweeping in the wedding chapel.

                              RYOICHI

                    Excuse me, may I ask you a

                    question?

                              ELDERLY WOMAN

                    Of course.

          Ryoichi pulls out a picture of Seiichi from his pocket.

                              RYOICHI

                    My name is Kawano Ryoichi, this is

                    my partner, Ishikawa Kazuo. We were

                    wondering if you recognized this

                    man. His name is Sakamoto Seiichi.

                              ELDERLY WOMAN

                    Oh, yes. He came in here this

                    morning to set up a wedding for

                    tonight. He said he was marrying a

                    girl named Nellie, Nina, something

                    with an N...

                              KAZUO

                    Ninette?

                              ELDERLY WOMAN

                    Yes, that was it. He scheduled it

                    for twenty-two o'clock. Are you

                    friends of his?

                              KAZUO

                    Uh, yes. We're friends of his. We

                    heard he was getting married but we

                    didn't know where.

                              ELDERLY WOMAN

                    Well, come tonight.

                              RYOICHI

                    We will, thank you.

          Ryoichi and Kazuo walk away from the woman.

                              RYOICHI

                    This is perfect. All we need to do

                    now is catch them during the

                    wedding and rescue Ninette.

                              KAZUO

                    I'll call Uchida and tell him the

                    plan. I'll have him meet us in a

                    room here.

                              RYOICHI

                    Alright.

          INT. SHINOBU'S LAB. AFTERNOON.

          A beeping noise comes from Shinobu's computer. He pulls up a

          list of phone records, one highlighted. He looks up the

          number and it is the number to the Shinagawa Prince Hotel.

          His phone rings and he answers.

                              SHINOBU

                    Yeah?

                              RYOICHI

                         (over phone)

                    We found the location that Seiichi

                    is going to marry Ninette at.

                              SHINOBU

                    What's the name?

                              RYOICHI

                         (over phone)

                    It's the east chapel at the

                    Shinagawa Prince Hotel. It's going

                    to be a twenty-two o'clock.

                              SHINOBU

                    That makes our information

                    consistent. I was able to locate a

                    criminal record for Sakamoto

                    Seiichi and it included a phone

                    number. I just got a list of phone

                    records from Shinagawa and

                    Seiichi's phone leads to that

                    hotel.

                              RYOICHI

                         (over phone)

                    Perfect! Tell Daisuke to meet us at

                    the hotel in room three thirteen.

                    We will prepare there and crash the

                    wedding.

                              SHINOBU

                    Will do. Good job!

          Shinobu hangs up his phone.

                              SHINOBU

                    Hang in there, Ninette. We'll get

                    you out of this mess.

          Shinobu opens his phone and dials.

          EXT. PARK. AFTERNOON.

          Yuuto is walking along the path. Parts of his memory start

          flashing.

          A flashback of Sumiko taking a cigarette to Yuuto's arm.

          Yuuto stops walking.

          A flashback of Sumiko slipping a small bit of rat poison in

          a soup getting ready to feed Yuuto.

          Yuuto holds the sides of his head.

          A flashback of Sumiko cutting Yuuto's leg with a razor.

          Yuuto starts to breath heavy. He pulls out his phone and

          dials.

                              AINA

                         (over phone)

                    Hello?

                              YUUTO

                    Nishimura-san, I keep seeing

                    memories in my head. They won't

                    stop.

                              AINA

                         (over phone)

                    What are the memories of?

                              YUUTO

                    They're of my mother. I remember

                    her burning me and hurting me. I

                    remember her poisoning me. But

                    they're memories I don't remember

                    having. The ones I do remember are

                    of her treating the wounds, not

                    making them. I'm so confused.

                              AINA

                         (over phone)

                    It sounds like the memories you are

                    seeing now belong to one of your

                    alters who is losing control of

                    your unconscious. That will happen.

                              YUUTO

                    Can you explain her change in

                    behavior? Why would she hurt me

                    then try to heal me?

                              AINA

                         (over phone)

                    Without examining her myself, the

                    only thing I can assume is that she

                    has Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

                    It is where a parent will afflict

                    pain or illness to the child so

                    that they may treat it to get the

                    attachment they want. With the

                    attachment disorder that it sounds

                    like she also had, it is not

                    uncommon that this disorder would

                    also show up.

                              YUUTO

                    She made me sick to treat me?

                              AINA

                         (over phone)

                    It does sound far-fetched but it

                    does exist. Your condition is

                    probably a direct effect from that

                    abuse. It is common for children

                    with parents like that to develop

                    some sort of psychological

                    problems, either it be personality

                    or dissociative.

                              YUUTO

                    What should I do to keep the

                    memories at bay?

                              AINA

                         (over phone)

                    Take your medication and relax.

                    That is really all I can tell you.

                    Your stress is causing them to be

                    retrieved. Bring your stress level

                    down and you should be fine. I know

                    it's hard after all that you have

                    found out but that is your only

                    option.

                              YUUTO

                    What if I want to get to the bottom

                    of this whole thing?

                              AINA

                         (over phone)

                    Continue at your own risk. I do not

                    suggest it. Take in a little at a

                    time, not the full load. Please do

                    not push yourself. You may think

                    that your mind is strong, but from

                    what I've seen it is very fragile.

                    Take care of yourself.

          INT. REHABILITATION CENTER. AFTERNOON.

          Sumiko is sitting on her bed looking through Ichiro's box.

          She looks heartbroken. She looks over to see Yuuto in the

          doorway.

                              SUMIKO

                    Yuu-kun, you're back.

          She rises from the bed and walks over to him. She goes to

          hug him.

                              YUUTO

                    Why did you do it?

          Sumiko stops.

                              SUMIKO

                    What are you talking about,

                    Yuu-kun?

                              YUUTO

                         (snaps)

                    Don't call me that! Why did you

                    kill my father?

          Sumiko is flabbergasted.

                              SUMIKO

                    Why would you say something like

                    that?

          Yuuto walks slowly towards her, she backs up to stay away

          from him.

                              YUUTO

                    I remember it clearly. You fought

                    him so he wouldn't take me away

                    from you. You stabbed him in the

                    neck right in front of me. Do you

                    remember? After all of these years,

                    have you forgotten that you were

                    the one that murdered him?

                              SUMIKO

                    Yuuto, you're scaring me.

                              YUUTO

                    You think I wasn't scared? I was

                    scared of you, I remember how you

                    beat me, how you tortured me, how

                    you made me sick so you could tend

                    to me. You were so afraid to let me

                    leave the house that you poisoned

                    me to make me better and that's why

                    I was such a sickly child. You are

                    the reason I ran away. You are the

                    reason I'm the way I am today! You

                    made me like this!

                              SUMIKO

                    That's enough!

          He has her all the way to the window. He backs away from

          her.

                              YUUTO

                         (calmly)

                    I remember it now. I remember

                    waking up, bleeding, not knowing

                    what had happened and you over me

                    trying to help me while you were

                    drunk. I remember having scars and

                    burns on my body. You kept me

                    inside all the time, I never went

                    to school and I didn't know anyone

                    else. How else would they have

                    gotten there if the only other

                    person in the house was you?

                              SUMIKO

                    I... I can't...

          Sumiko walks away to the bed. Yuuto walks over and pulls one

          of the pictures of a younger him off the wall and shows it

          to her.

                              YUUTO

                    What did you do to him?

          Sumiko looks at him.

                              SUMIKO

                    I'm sorry.

          She backs up and tears start to fall from her eyes.

                              SUMIKO

                    I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

                              YUUTO

                    It was you.

                              SUMIKO

                    I'm sorry.

          Yuuto stares at her. As she speaks, tears fall from Yuuto's

          eyes.

                              SUMIKO

                    I did kill him. Your father and I

                    did love each other, but he left me

                    when I started drinking. When he

                    found out I had you, he tried

                    several times to take you away from

                    me. That night, he thought I wasn't

                    there and he came to get you. I

                    killed him so he wouldn't take you

                    away. I had no where to hide him so

                    I buried him out by the pine tree

                    in the backyard of the house we

                    lived in. You were my baby and I

                    wasn't going to be without you.

                              YUUTO

                    He would have given me a better

                    life.

                              SUMIKO

                    You were mine! Nothing was going to

                    take you away from me!

                              YUUTO

                    If you cared about me so much, why

                    did you abuse me?

                              SUMIKO

                    I was young, I didn't know any

                    better. The way I treated you was

                    the way my parents treated me. I

                    had no knowledge of how to be a

                    good mother. It doesn't surprise me

                    that you ran away. I tried to

                    forget about what I did to you. I

                    didn't realize how much pain I

                    caused you. If I could live my life

                    over again, I would have never done

                    those horrible things to you. Your

                    father would not be dead and we

                    might have been a family. I dream

                    that would have been my past but

                    reality comes back in and ruins it.

                    I know I can never say sorry enough

                    to make up for it, but I beg you to

                    forgive me.

          Yuuto starts to leave. Sumiko runs to him and falls on her

          hands and knees. She grabs his jacket.

                              SUMIKO

                    Please, forgive me! I beg you,

                    please, forgive me!

          Yuuto pushes her off.

                              YUUTO

                    I can never forgive you for what

                    you have done. I'm like this

                    because of you. I cannot live a

                    normal life because of you. I will

                    never forgive you for that!

          Yuuto walks out leaving her on the floor.

          INT. SEIICHI'S APARTMENT. LATE AFTERNOON.

          Ninette is sitting in the bedroom in her wedding dress. The

          arm that Seiichi cut is now wrapped up in bandages. A lady

          is there behind her, brushing her hair.

                              LADY

                    You will make a beautiful bride, my

                    dear.

          Ninette reaches inside the dress of her skirt and pulls a

          knife out. When the lady lets go of her hair, Ninette stands

          up and points the knife at her. The lady backs up against

          the vanity when she sees the knife.

                              NINETTE

                    Don't follow me. Don't even come

                    near me.

          Ninette runs out of the room. She runs into the living room

          and slices one of the guard's neck and stabs the other one

          in the chest. She runs towards the entrance door and opens

          it to reveal Seiichi. She points the knife at him.

                              SEIICHI

                    Have you caused trouble?

                              NINETTE

                    I killed your two guards. I'm not

                    afraid to kill you too.

                              SEIICHI

                    I would like to see you try.

          She goes in for a jab but Seiichi steps out of the way and

          grabs her arm. He pulls her back to him and pulls her arm up

          to have the knife at her neck.

                              SEIICHI

                    I'm not afraid to hurt you,

                    princess. As you have already

                    figured out, I don't mind hurting

                    you. Kill someone else and I will

                    hurt you in a way that will make

                    you wish you hadn't messed with me.

                              NINETTE

                    I'm not afraid of you.

          Seiichi takes the knife from her and turns her around to

          face him. He places the sharp end of the knife on her cheek.

                              SEIICHI

                    You say you are not afraid, but

                    your eyes tell me differently. You

                    are scared shitless.

          Ninette struggles to get away but he keeps her close.

                              SEIICHI

                    Don't even try to escape again.

          INT/EXT. SHINAGAWA PRINCE HOTEL. SUNSET.

          The day starts to get dark, a storm is coming.

          Daisuke is standing in the lobby of the hotel behind a

          pillar. He looks over at the entrance and sees a group of

          suited men surrounding someone enter and head towards the

          elevators. Once there, he sees Ninette in her wedding gown

          enter in the elevator. He pulls out his phone and dials.

                              DAISUKE

                    She's here. I'm heading up right

                    now.

          He closes his phone and heads for the elevators.

          Outside, Shinobu is in the back of a van looking at all of

          the monitors showing the chapel being prepared. He sees

          Seiichi at the alter talking to the priest.

          Kazuo and Ryoichi are in the hotel room, equiping themselves

          with bulletproof vests and guns. Daisuke walks in and they

          hand him a vest.

          EXT. ABANDONED HOUSE. SUNSET.

          It has started raining as Yuuto digs at the base of the pine

          tree behind the burnt down house. It looks like he has been

          digging for a while. He hears a pop when he jabs the shovel

          into the ground. He places the shovel against the trees and

          starts to dig with his hands. He feels something smooth as

          he pushes the mud away. He reveals a partially decomposed

          body wrapped in plastic. It is Ichiro. Yuuto screams and

          tries to climb out of the hole. He slides back down and

          continues to try but only brings down more mud. He ends up

          getting a grip of the tree root and pulls himself out of the

          hole. He lays down on the ground and lets the rain fall on

          him. He sees the figure in the blue dress standing over him.

          He quickly stands to face him. He grabs the shovel.

                              YUUTO

                         (yelling)

                    Get out of my head!

          He swings the shovel at the figure but it just goes through

          the figure.

                              YUUTO

                    Go away! Leave me the f**k alone!

          He trys to swing the shovel again but his emotions pulls him

          down to the ground. He screams out.

          INT. HOTEL. NIGHT.

          Yuuto steps out of the bathroom, half dressed. His shirt is

          lying on the bed. His gun is on the bedside table next to

          his phone. He is drying his hair with a towel. The memory of

          his father's decomposed body flashes in his mind and he

          falls to his knees.

                              YUUTO

                    I can't take this anymore. This

                    can't get any worse.

          His phone rings. He rises and walks over to answer it.

                              YUUTO

                    Hello?

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    Is this Takanori Yuuto?

                              YUUTO

                    Yes.

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    I'm from the Belle Haven

                    Rehabilitation Center, where your

                    mother is staying. I have some

                    grave news for you.

                              YUUTO

                    What is it?

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    We found your mother about a half

                    an hour ago, hung in her room.

          Yuuto seems distraught.

                              YUUTO

                    She's...dead?

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    Yes, I'm sorry Takanori-san for

                    your loss.

          Yuuto's arms drop and he drops the phone. His head sinks and

          then rises in a menacing manner.

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    Hello? Hello? Takanori-san?

          Yuuto grabs the shirt and gun and walks out of the room. His

          walk has changed to a stride that is powerful and menacing.

          INT/EXT. SHINAGAWA PRINCE HOTEL. NIGHT.

          The chapel is full. Ninette and Seiichi are standing at the

          alter in front of the priest. Ninette has tears in her eyes.

                              PRIEST

                    Good evening, and welcome to the

                    ceremony that will unite Sakamoto

                    Seiichi and Ninette Pascal in

                    marriage. We gather here today to

                    celebrate their union, and to honor

                    their commitment to not just gazing

                    at one another, but to looking

                    outward in the same direction.

                    Today, Sakamoto Seiichi and Ninette

                    Pascal proclaim their love to the

                    world, and we rejoice with and for

                    them.

          Outside in the van, Shinobu has his headset on and is

          watching the wedding.

                              SHINOBU

                    Daisuke, they've finished the

                    introduction. You and the others

                    need to get down there now.

          In their hotel room, Daisuke, Kazou and Ryoichi are at the

          door, ready to leave. Each of them have an earpiece in.

                              DAISUKE

                    Alright, thanks. Let's go.

          The three of them exit the room.

          Back in the chapel, the priest has now reached the vows.

                              PRIEST

                    Sakamoto Seiichi, do you take

                    Ninette Pascal to be your wife, to

                    live together in holy matrimony? To

                    love, honor, and cherish her,...

          Outside of the chapel, Ryoichi, Daisuke and Kazuo start

          fighting the guards. They fight as the vows are heard in the

          voice over.

                              PRIEST

                         (voice over)

                    ...to keep her in sickness and in

                    health, for as long as you both

                    shall live?

          In the chapel, Seiichi smiles at Ninette.

                              SEIICHI

                    I do.

          Ninette closes her eyes.

          Outside, the fighting still continues, the vows continue.

          Daisuke stabs a couple of the guys, Kazuo breaks one of the

          guard's neck, and Ryoichi who is being held by one of the

          guards, throws the guard over his head and punches him in

          the temple.

                              PRIEST

                         (voice over)

                    Ninette Pascal, do you take

                    Sakamoto Seiichi to be your

                    husband, to live together in holy

                    matrimony? To love, honor, and

                    cherish him, to keep him in

                    sickness and in health, for as long

                    as you both shall live?

          In the chapel, Ninette is crying. Seiichi looks at her.

                              NINETTE

                    I can't...I can't.

          Daisuke and Ryoichi bust through the doors to the chapel

          aiming their guns at Seiichi. Kazuo follows behind.

                              DAISUKE

                    Stop this wedding now!

          A couple of men from the audience stand and start to shoot

          at them. Seiichi drags Ninette away from the alter but

          Ninette grabs the bottle of champagne on the side table and

          breaks it over Seiichi's head. It breaks but he doesn't let

          go. With the piece that she still has, she cuts Seiichi's

          arm open. He screams and lets go.

                              NINETTE

                    I told you I wasn't afraid of you.

          She kicks him away from her and runs off toward Daisuke and

          the others who are hiding behind some of the pillars.

                              DAISUKE

                    We have to get out of here but they

                    have the door blocked.

          Kazuo slips out from behind the pillar and shoots the guards

          that are blocking the door.

                              KAZUO

                    Let's go!

          The four of them head out of the door as bullets fly toward

          them. They leave and start to run through the hallway.

          A few minutes later, the four of them exit the building and

          head toward Shinobu's van. Daisuke and Ryoichi jump into the

          front seat and Kazuo and Ninette jump into the back. Daisuke

          starts the van and drives off.

          INT. HOTEL. NIGHT.

          The Daisuke and the others return back to the hotel. Ninette

          starts letting down her hair and pulling off her jewelry.

                              NINETTE

                    Where is Yuuto?

                              DAISUKE

                    He might be here but I'm not really

                    sure. I made him stay out of

                    rescuing you.

                              NINETTE

                    Why?

                              DAISUKE

                    I didn't want to run the risk of

                    him ruining our plan to save you.

          Ninette runs to Yuuto's room.

                              NINETTE

                    Yuuto!

          She reaches his room and sees his cell phone on the floor.

          She walks over and picks it up. She sees that there are nine

          missed calls. She checks the calls and notices they are from

          the same number. She dials the number and waits.

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    Hello, this is Belle Haven

                    Rehabilitation Center, how may I

                    help you?

                              NINETTE

                    Hello, I noticed that this number

                    has called this phone several

                    times. Was anything wrong?

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    Is this Takamori Yuuto's number?

                              NINETTE

                    Yes. I'm a friend of his.

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    We called to inform him of his

                    mother's sudden death.

          Ninette is surprised.

                              NINETTE

                    Death?

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    Takanori-san answered the phone and

                    I told him the news but he didn't

                    say anything. I heard a bump on the

                    other end and thought he might have

                    dropped it but he never picked back

                    up. We tried calling him to see if

                    he was alright and what he wanted

                    to do with her body. Do you know

                    where he is?

                              NINETTE

                    No, I don't. Thank you for the

                    information.

                              NURSE

                         (over phone)

                    When you find him, please tell

                    him...

          Ninette closes the phone. She runs back to where the others

          are.

                              NINETTE

                    He left his phone here.

                              DAISUKE

                    Where could he have gone?

                              NINETTE

                    His mother is dead.

                              RYOICHI

                    His mother?

                              NINETTE

                    The rehab center that his mother

                    was staying at called him and told

                    him that his mother was dead. They

                    tried calling him nine times to see

                    if he was okay.

          Shinobu runs over to his computer and brings up a map of

          Tokyo. There is a flashing red dot moving toward the coast.

          The others walk up to see it.

                              RYOICHI

                    Is that him?

                              SHINOBU

                    Yeah.

                              KAZUO

                    Where is he going?

                              RYOICHI

                    All that's over there are

                    warehouses that store...

                              DAISUKE

                    What is it?

                              RYOICHI

                    I worked at one of those warehouses

                    several years ago. They house

                    gasoline barrels. But I heard a few

                    years ago, the gasoline was

                    contaminated and they closed the

                    warehouses down.

                              SHINOBU

                    So why do you think he's going

                    there?

                              RYOICHI

                    It's nothing good, that's for sure.

                              DAISUKE

                    Do you think he might...bite the

                    bullet?

                              NINETTE

                    Don't say that! He would never do

                    that!

                              RYOICHI

                    What if the fifth personality has

                    finally come out?

                              KAZUO

                    We need to go find him now.

          The men head out of the room. Ninette stares at the

          computer.

                              NINETTE

                    Don't do it, Yuuto.

          She follows the men out.

          INT. WAREHOUSE. NIGHT.

          The warehouse is full of gasoline barrels. There is little

          light coming through from the street lights and the moon.

          Yuuto pushes one of the barrels over, gasoline all over the

          floor. He walks away from the spill and looks up to see

          Katashi, Rei and Noboro. You now see the personalities as

          Yuuto sees them. Katashi is a middle aged man in a general's

          uniform, Rei is a small girl in a dress and no shoes, and

          Noboro is a teenage boy whose clothes are torn and there are

          scratches on his body. Yuuto's voice is evil and feminine

          sounding.

                              YUUTO(???)

                    What do you three want?

                              KATASHI

                    You need to stop this! Yuuto

                    doesn't want you here.

                              YUUTO(???)

                    Don't you talk to me that way! I

                    came to rid him of his suffering.

                    Ever since the three of you made

                    your way into his life, its been

                    nothing but suffering.

                              REI

                    You don't belong here.

                              YUUTO(???)

                    All of you don't belong here! None

                    of you belong.

                              NOBORO

                    We are the ones that made sure he

                    didn't know the truth about you. We

                    kept him sane so he could live in

                    society.

          Yuuto laughs.

                              YUUTO(???)

                    You think you made him normal!

                    (Laughing stops) You made him far

                    from normal, Noboro. You were the

                    first one, weren't you?

          FLASHBACK.

          Three-year-old Yuuto is playing with one of his toys. He

          looks up and sees Noboro sitting in front of him. Noboro

          holds his hand up to Yuuto and Yuuto grabs his finger.

                              YUUTO(???)

                         (voice over)

                    You are the one who started it all.

                    You made him the way he is.

                              NOBORO

                         (voice over)

                    That's not true! I protected him

                    from you! If I wasn't there, he

                    would have remembered everything

                    you did to him.

          Another flashback shows of Yuuto's father's death.

                              YUUTO(???)

                         (voice over)

                    He would have found out anyway. Did

                    hiding the truth from him really

                    help him? It seems to me that it

                    screwed him up even more.

          Another flashback is shown of a young teenage Yuuto running

          to the train station. He looks back to see Rei looking sad

          and crying. He holds out his hand to her and she runs to

          him, grabbing his hand.

                              REI

                         (voice over)

                    The truth had to be hidden. We knew

                    if he found out, you would become

                    active and hurt him more than you

                    already have.

          Another flashback is shown of Sumiko beating Yuuto as a

          child. He's screaming on the top of his lungs.

                              YUUTO(???)

                         (voice over)

                    All of you are so naive. I have

                    come to stop this once and for all.

                    You may think you can help his

                    future, but you're wrong.

          Another flashback shows and older teenage Yuuto waking up

          and seeing Katashi. Katashi smiles and holds his hand out to

          Yuuto. Yuuto takes his hand and rises. He hugs Katashi.

                              KATASHI

                    If you succeed in your plan, you

                    won't have a future. You'll destroy

                    him and haunt him. All you are is a

                    haunting, nothing more!

          INT. WAREHOUSE. NIGHT.

          Yuuto laughs again. He pulls a lighter out of his pocket and

          ignites the flame.

                              YUUTO(???)

                    I'm a haunting? Aren't we all just

                    figments of his past. Noboro is the

                    friend he always wanted to have but

                    didn't, Rei is the lost childhood,

                    and Katashi is the protector

                    modeled after a senile old man. I'm

                    the figment of the mother that

                    murdered his father.

          Noboro runs at Yuuto and tackles him but he goes through

          Yuuto, pushing out the fifth personality which is a young

          woman in the blue dress that is covered in blood on the

          front. Yuuto looks around and sees Rei and Katashi. Yuuto

          closes the lighter and drops it. He looks behind him and

          sees Noboro standing over BLOODY SUMIKO.

                              YUUTO

                    What's going on?

                              KATASHI

                    Yuuto,..

                              YUUTO

                    Who is she?

                              REI

                    She's the lady in the blue dress.

                              NOBORO

                    She is the abusive mother that

                    killed your father.

          INT. VAN. NIGHT.

          Ninette, Shinobu, and Kazuo are sitting in the back. Daisuke

          is driving with Ryoichi in the passenger seat. Shinobu has

          his laptop out with the tracker program up.

                              NINETTE

                    Has he stopped yet?

                              SHINOBU

                    He's in one of the warehouses.

                              NINETTE

                    Do you really think he'll do it?

                              SHINOBU

                    I hope he doesn't but there is no

                    way of knowing what state he is in.

                              DAISUKE

                    I just hope we get there before he

                    tries anything.

                              NINETTE

                         (under breath)

                    Yuuto.

          INT/EXT. WAREHOUSE. NIGHT.

          Yuuto looks down at Bloody Sumiko with fear in his eyes.

          Noboro is holding Sumiko back. Yuuto backs up, trips and

          falls. He keeps backing up.

                              NOBORO

                    Yuuto, don't be scared of her. You

                    are stronger than her.

                              YUUTO

                    Why is she here?

                              KATASHI

                    She has been lying dormant for

                    years inside your unconscious. She

                    is the vision that you created of

                    your mother. This is the mother you

                    remember.

                              REI

                    When you found out about your

                    mother's death, she decided to come

                    out to take her place.

                              BLOODY SUMIKO

                    She's the one who took my place.

                    I'm the real one!

                              NOBORO

                    Don't listen to her, Yuuto. She's a

                    corrupt, mindless personality with

                    no sense of right or wrong. She

                    plans to kill us all, including

                    you.

                              YUUTO

                    She can't do that.

                              NOBORO

                    She can if you let her. That's why

                    you cannot be afraid of her.

          Yuuto stands. He walks slowly towards Noboro and Sumiko. He

          stops.

                              YUUTO

                    How do I get rid of her?

                              NOBORO

                    There is no way to get rid of her

                    but you can keep her from coming

                    back.

                              YUUTO

                    How?

          Sumiko laughs maniacally. 

                              BLOODY SUMIKO

                    You cannot get rid of me, little

                    boy. It will take a lot of will

                    power to get rid of me and I don't

                    think you have it in you.

                    Everything about you is

                    meaningless.

          Yuuto winces.

                              YUUTO

                         (under breath)

                    I hate you.

                              NOBORO

                    Yuuto, don't. Your rejection is

                    what made her. The years you

                    rejected your mother is what made

                    her stronger.

                              YUUTO

                    How can I accept her when she has

                    done nothing but hurt and torment

                    me?

                              KATASHI

                    Yuuto! Listen to him. He can help

                    you get through this.

                              YUUTO

                         (yelling)

                    All of you have tormented me! It's

                    not just her! I've tried to be

                    normal, I've tried to be good! All

                    of you have fucked with my life in

                    one way or another and I'm tired of

                    it!

                              REI

                    Yuuto.

                              YUUTO

                    I cannot stand it anymore!

                              NOBORO

                    Yuuto, stop!

                              YUUTO

                    I'm the host! I don't listen to

                    you, you listen to me! I want all

                    of you gone! I just want to live a

                    normal life!

                              BLOODY SUMIKO

                    That's right, be angry, Yuuto.

                              YUUTO

                         (quietly)

                    Shut up.

                              BLOODY SUMIKO

                    Show me your anger and your hate!

                              YUUTO

                         (yelling)

                    Shut up!

          Sumiko breaks away from Noboro and pulls a knife out a

          pocket in her dress and stabs Noboro. Yuuto grabs his chest

          and screams in pain.

                              KATASHI

                    Noboro!

          Noboro falls back on his back and dies. Sumiko turns to the

          rest of them. Yuuto looks up at her and then at Noboro's

          body. His eyes widen.

                              YUUTO

                    Noboro.

                              BLOODY SUMIKO

                    Remember, you were the one that

                    wished them gone.

          She runs past Yuuto to Rei. Sumiko backs Rei up in a corner.

          Katashi runs over and throws Sumiko away from Rei.

                              KATASHI

                    You stay off of her!

                              YUUTO

                    Please stop!

          Sumiko charges at Katashi and stabs him in the stomach.

          Yuuto covers his eyes and screams again. Katashi falls out

          of the way, opening Rei's defense. Sumiko slowly walks

          towards her. Rei is crying.

                              REI

                    Please, don't hurt me.

          Sumiko grabs Rei's neck, pulls her up and we hear Rei

          screaming in pain before she dies. Yuuto grabs his stomach

          and starts to breath heavily. Sumiko looks towards Yuuto.

          She licks the blood on her knife.

                              BLOODY SUMIKO

                    It's about time they all

                    disappeared, don't you think?

          Yuuto looks back at Noboro's body. He looks at Katashi and

          Rei. Tears start to roll down his face. He grabs his gun out

          of his pocket.

                              BLOODY SUMIKO

                    That's right.

          Yuuto points the gun at Sumiko. Sumiko's devilish smile

          turns into fear.

                              BLOODY SUMIKO

                    What are you doing?

                              YUUTO

                    I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't

                    forgive her when I had the chance.

                    She had to live with the fact that

                    she killed the man she loved and

                    tortured her only son. I was so

                    angry that I couldn't forgive her.

                    Maybe if I did, you wouldn't be

                    here and I would still have Noboro,

                    and Katashi, and Rei.

                              BLOODY SUMIKO

                    You wished them gone.

                              YUUTO

                    I feel empty now! I thought

                    everything would be better but it's

                    not! You destroyed the only comfort

                    I had. Because of you, they're

                    gone.

          Yuuto's hand shakes as he struggles to pull the trigger.

          Outside, Daisuke and the others arrive out front. Ninette is

          the first to jump out of the van. She runs toward the

          warehouse. Ryoichi jumps out. The rest file out.

                              RYOICHI

                    Ninette, stop!

                              NINETTE

                    We don't have time.

          A gunshot is heard from inside the warehouse. The all look

          at the warehouse.

                              DAISUKE

                    Please let us not be too late.

                              NINETTE

                    Yuuto.

          Ninette starts to run toward the warehouse. Shinobu goes

          after her.

          Yuuto coughs up blood. The gun is seen directly pointed at

          his stomach. He looks up to see Sumiko and the other alters

          gone. He touches his wound and looks at the blood on his

          hand. He drops his hand and his head. He starts to laugh

          quietly. His laugh turns into tears and then he screams and

          points the gun at a gasoline barrel. He pulls the trigger.

          Outside, Ninette is still running towards the warehouse. She

          hears the second gunshot and there is an explosion from

          inside the warehouse. Ninette stops and cries out. Shinobu

          reaches her and grabs her. She tries to escape his grasp.

                              NINETTE

                    No! Yuuto! Yuuto!

          Inside, we see Yuuto laying down on his stomach. He slowly

          closes his eyes.

                              NINETTE

                         (voice over)

                    Yuuto!
