Operation: Monte Carlo Ep. 11 The Resolution

In the series finale, the characters find out more interesting facts about the Sakamoto clan and Yuuto goes out by himself to save Ninette. How will it all end?

          INT. SAKAMOTO MANOR. MORNING.

          Ninette and Seiichi are standing in front of the priest in

          the living room. Akihiro, Hayato, and Kazumi are sitting on

          the couch watching them.

                              PRIEST

                    I now pronounce you man and wife.

          Seiichi turns Ninette towards her and kisses her. She pulls

          back.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Congratulations, my son. You've

                    finally gotten your prize.

                              SEIICHI

                    After more than five years of

                    pestering that father of hers.

                              NINETTE

                         (under breath)

                    He's not my father.

          Seiichi pulls her closer.

                              SEIICHI

                    She'll just have to get used to

                    this lifestyle.

          Ninette pushes Seiichi off of her.

                              NINETTE

                    Now that we're married, we have to

                    act like a married couple. Well,

                    I'm already sick of you.

          Ninette walks out of the room. Seiichi starts after her but

          Akihiro stops him.

                              AKIHIRO

                    She's not going to get out. She'll

                    get used to it here.

                              SEIICHI

                    She better.

                              AKIHIRO

                    You must be patient.

          Akihiro walks out of the room.

          EXT. STREET. MORNING.

          Hayato and Kazumi are walking down an alley.

                              HAYATO

                    I guess our job is done.

                              KAZUMI

                    Yes and we have enough money to buy

                    some new weapons. I'm very excited.

          Both of them stop when they see a figure at the end of the

          alley. It is Yuuto.

                              HAYATO

                    Who the hell?

                              KAZUMI

                    It's that agent from the hospital.

                              HAYATO

                    What?

                              KAZUMI

                    Seiichi's wife was guarding over

                    him at the hospital like a mother

                    hen.

                              HAYATO

                    And you didn't kill him?

          Yuuto slowly walks towards them. Kazumi and Hayato pull out

          their guns. Katashi begins to walk beside Yuuto.

                              KATASHI

                    Yuuto, let me do this. You're not

                    ready yet.

                              YUUTO

                    I need to save her by my own hands.

                    I will fight for her.

                              KAZUMI

                    Stay back.

          Yuuto pulls out two switchblades from his pockets and opens

          them.

                              HAYATO

                    He's not listening.

                              KAZUMI

                    Then he's dead.

          The two shoot, Yuuto ducks and flings one of the blades

          towards Hayato and it stabs him in the knee. He screams in

          pain and falls. Kazumi is stunned and while off guard, Yuuto

          grabs her arm and torques it to make her drop the gun. He

          pulls her closer, flips her over his shoulder and drops her

          on her stomach. Hayato pulls the blade out of his knee and

          grabs his gun. Yuuto kicks the gun out of his hand. Kazumi

          comes up from behind Yuuto and puts him in a choke hold.

          Yuuto drops the knife. He backs up into the building behind

          her, breaking the hold. He stops a pipe sticking out of the

          building. Yuuto grabs Kazumi's arm and forces her around him

          and into the pipe. She screams.

                              HAYATO

                    Kazumi!

          Yuuto picks up the two knives. Hayato reaches for the gun

          but Yuuto pulls him to face him and place both of the blades

          against Hayato's neck.

                              YUUTO

                    Where is Ninette?

                              HAYATO

                    What?

                              YUUTO

                         (louder)

                    Where is she!?

                              HAYATO

                    I'm not going to tell you.

          Yuuto looks back at Kazumi and then back at Hayato.

                              YUUTO

                    Is she your lover?

                              HAYATO

                    Sister.

                              YUUTO

                    Sister. You know, if she is taken

                    off that pipe, she can live to see

                    another day.

          Yuuto stands and kicks the gun out of Hayato's reach. He

          walks over to Kazumi and places the knife against Kazumi's

          neck.

                              HAYATO

                         (screaming)

                    Don't, please!

                              YUUTO

                    I can kill her now, or you can tell

                    me where Ninette is.

                              HAYATO

                    Fine!

          Yuuto looks over at Hayato.

                              HAYATO

                    She is at the Sakamoto Manor in

                    Chiyoda.

                              YUUTO

                    Where in Chiyoda?

                              HAYATO

                    It's close to Yasukuni Shrine.

          Yuuto grabs Kazumi's arm and pulls her off the pipe. She

          screams as she falls to the ground. Hayato crawls over to

          her. Yuuto grabs Hayato's chin and pushes him to the ground.

          Yuuto kneels over him placing his knee on Hayato's chest.

                              HAYATO

                    What are you doing?

                              YUUTO

                    Making sure you don't say anything

                    to your master.

          Yuuto forces Hayato's mouth open and pulls out his tongue.

          He grabs one of his knives. We hear Hayato scream as Kazumi

          pushes herself off the ground to watch. Her eyes widen.

          INT. HOSPITAL. NOON.

          Ryoichi and Shinobu are standing outside of the emergency

          room. Both have bandages on their face. Shinobu limps over

          to the bench to sit.

                              RYOICHI

                    How bad did they mess up your leg?

                              SHINOBU

                    I can still walk, that's all that

                    matters. I might need cane. It's

                    not really my leg that's damaged

                    but my hip.

                              RYOICHI

                    How could they have caught us off

                    guard?

          They are silent for a minute.

                              SHINOBU

                    Ninette!

          Shinobu stands and starts to limp away.

                              RYOICHI

                    What about her?

                              SHINOBU

                    I left her unattended. I need to

                    check on her.

          Ryoichi walks up to him.

                              RYOICHI

                    I'll check on her. You need to stay

                    off your feet.

          Shinobu nods and walks back to the bench and sits.

          Ryoichi walks into Yuuto's hospital room and sees that it is

          empty. He spots a piece of paper on the floor beside the

          gurney. He walks over and picks it up to read.

                              RYOICHI

                         (quietly)

                    I'm doing this to save all of you.

          He looks over to see Yuuto's bed clothes on the floor.

          Outside of the emergency room, Ryoichi walks up to Shinobu

          and shows him the paper.

                              RYOICHI

                    Both Yuuto and Ninette are gone.

                              SHINOBU

                    What?

                              RYOICHI

                    It looks like Yuuto changed before

                    he left and Ninette's things are

                    missing.

                              SHINOBU

                    I need my computer. It's out in the

                    van. If Ninette has her things, I

                    can track her.

                              RYOICHI

                    Alright, I'll get them.

          The operation light goes off. They notice it as the surgeon

          walks out.

                              SURGEON

                    Uchida-san and Ishikawa-san went

                    through the surgery well. Both of

                    them will make a full recovery.

                              RYOICHI

                    When do you think they will be able

                    to leave?

                              SURGEON

                    I would keep them here for a couple

                    of days.

                              SHINOBU

                    We don't have a couple of days. Our

                    mission is at risk if they cannot

                    be released.

                              SURGEON

                    You will have to ask them when they

                    wake up. I will not force them to

                    stay if they are needed that badly.

          The surgeon walks away. Shinobu is startled.

                              RYOICHI

                    What was that?

          Shinobu reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone

          which is vibrating. He looks to see that it is from Yuuto.

                              SHINOBU

                    It's Yuuto!

          Shinobu opens the phone and puts it on speaker.

                              SHINOBU

                    Yuuto! Where are you?

                              YUUTO

                         (over phone)

                    I'm in Shinagawa.

                              SHINOBU

                    Why are you there?

                              YUUTO

                         (over phone)

                    I'm hunting down Seiichi.

                              RYOICHI

                    You haven't fully recovered yet.

                    You shouldn't have left.

                              YUUTO

                         (over phone)

                    I have to find her. I cannot just

                    let them have her so easily.

                              SHINOBU

                    Yuuto...

                              YUUTO

                         (over phone, yelling)

                    I cannot wait for you! I will take

                    care of this myself!

          Yuuto hangs up. Shinobu closes his phone.

                              RYOICHI

                    Is he crazy?

                              SHINOBU

                    You're really asking that question?

                              RYOICHI

                    With his injuries, he won't last

                    five minutes against Seiichi.

                    Seiichi is cunning.

          They hear nurses and doctors running a gurney into the

          emergency room. An unconscious Kazumi is on the gurney.

                              SHINOBU

                    That was that nurse from yesterday.

                              RYOICHI

                    That's no nurse that's the girl who

                    kicked our a*s yesterday.

                              SHINOBU

                    You mean?

                              RYOICHI

                    She's the one you entrusted to look

                    after Ninette?

                              SHINOBU

                    I had no idea!

                              RYOICHI

                    She's probably the one who took

                    her.

                              SHINOBU

                    Someone must have brought her here.

          Ryoichi and Shinobu walk away from the emergency room.

          INT. SAKAMOTO MANOR. NOON.

          There is a knock on the door. The butler walks to the door

          and opens it to reveal Hayato.

                              BUTLER

                    Echigo-san. Come in.

          In Akihiro's office, Akihiro and Seiichi are discussing

          business when Hayato enters the room.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Hayato, welcome back.

          Hayato hands him a letter.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Why don't you say something?

          Hayato opens his mouth. Akihiro and Seiichi are shocked.

                              SEIICHI

                    Who did this to you?

          Hayato points at the letter. Akihiro begins to read.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Sakamoto Seiichi, I know where you

                    are and be prepared, I am coming

                    for you. At this point, it is all

                    out war between you and I. You have

                    taken my will to live but I will

                    fight to get it back. I have

                    brought your hit men to their

                    knees. You're lucky to have one in

                    front of you now. I will have your

                    head and I will stain the walls

                    with your blood. My vengeance is

                    strong and you will fear me.

          Akihiro drops the letter and looks at Seiichi.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Seiichi, what have you done? What

                    have you taken from him?

          Seiichi looks away confused but then realizes something.

          In Ninette's room, Ninette is sitting on her bed. Seiichi

          bursts in the room and pulls her off the bed. Ninette

          screams and tries to push him away but he pulls her to the

          ground and straddles her.

                              SEIICHI

                         (yelling)

                    Who is after me?

                              NINETTE

                         (screaming)

                    I don't know!

          Seiichi pulls out the letter from his back pocket and puts

          it up in her face.

                              SEIICHI

                    Who wrote this?

          Ninette stops screaming and focuses on the paper. Her eyes

          widen. Seiichi notices.

                              SEIICHI

                    You know something.

                              NINETTE

                    No, I've never seen it in my life.

                              SEIICHI

                    You liar!

          Akihiro comes in and pulls Seiichi off of Ninette. Ninette

          cries as she crawls into the corner.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Forcing it out of her will not

                    help. They apparently know where we

                    are so I suggest we hide.

                              SEIICHI

                    They can't possibly know where we

                    are. That letter is just to scare

                    us.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Well, he a damn good job at it if

                    your thinking about abusing your

                    own wife for answers.

                              SEIICHI

                    She knows something!

                              AKIHIRO

                    I don't care if she knows the

                    answer to life, it doesn't give you

                    the right to cause her harm.

          Seiichi turns away from him.

                              AKIHIRO

                    You've fucked up again, Seiichi.

                    Fix this or I will fix you.

          Akihiro leaves the room. Seiichi looks at Ninette and then

          leaves, closing the doors behind him and locking them.

          Ninette crawls over to the bed and pulls her purse out from

          under it. She pulls out her phone and dials a number.

          EXT. YASUKUNI SHRINE. NOON.

          Yuuto is leaving the shrine when his phone rings. He pulls

          his phone from his pocket and sees that it is from Ninette.

          He answers.

                              YUUTO

                    Ninette?

                              NINETTE

                         (over phone, crying)

                    Yuuto.

                              YUUTO

                    Please say you are okay.

                              NINETTE

                         (over phone)

                    I don't know how much more I can

                    take. I'm scared for my life.

          Ninette's emotion hits Yuuto and tears form in his eyes.

                              YUUTO

                    I'm coming to get you. I will save

                    you.

                              NINETTE

                         (over phone)

                    I trust you. Please, be quick.

          She hangs up. Yuuto lowers his phone. Noboro and Rei appear

          next to him.

                              NOBORO

                    Yuuto, do not push yourself over

                    the edge.

          Yuuto walks out of the public eye into the trees. He sits

          against a tree and lowers his head. Rei walks up to him.

                              REI

                    You are slowly awakening her again.

                              YUUTO

                    I have to do this.

                              NOBORO

                    You're going to wake her if your

                    hate grows anymore.

                              YUUTO

                         (yelling)

                    What is the problem with hating?

                    He's taken the only woman I have

                    ever loved, the first person to

                    show love to me! I can't help but

                    to be hateful and vengeful! I want

                    him dead!

                              REI

                    Yuuto, we know. We want her back as

                    much as you do but you have to do

                    this out of love instead of

                    vengeance.

          Yuuto stands and starts to walks away.

                              NOBORO

                    She's right. Yes, you are going to

                    be vengeful, but your main mission

                    is to find your love, not seek

                    death.

                              YUUTO

                    That's what I'm doing!

                              NOBORO

                    Then remember who you are doing

                    this for. You're not doing this for

                    you, you are doing this for

                    Ninette.

          Yuuto thinks for a moment and continues on his way.

          INT. HOSPITAL. AFTERNOON.

          Daisuke, Kazuo, Ryoichi and Shinobu are sitting in Yuuto's

          hospital room. Shinobu is on his computer. All of them are

          silent.

                              DAISUKE

                    So what are we going to do now?

                              RYOICHI

                    You're the one who is supposed to

                    tell us.

                              DAISUKE

                    We're not in a good condition to do

                    anything.

                              KAZUO

                    I've been shot before. I good to

                    fight.

                              RYOICHI

                    I am too. We can find Yuuto and get

                    Ninette back. Shinobu will have to

                    stay back because his hip is messed

                    up.

                              SHINOBU

                    I can find the information you'll

                    need to find Yuuto and Ninette.

                    Other than that, I'm completely

                    useless.

                              DAISUKE

                    Have you found them yet?

                              SHINOBU

                    Ninette is stationary but Yuuto is

                    moving. He's in Chiyoda.

                              DAISUKE

                    Chiyoda? Why there?

                              SHINOBU

                    That's the last location of the

                    Sakamoto clan. The Ku sector, Void,

                    is located in the center of north,

                    south, east, and west. The ward

                    between Kita, Edogawa, Suginami,

                    and Shinagawa is Chiyoda.

                              KAZUO

                    Is he going after Akihiro or

                    Seiichi?

                              RYOICHI

                    I don't know which, but I got a

                    call from Watanabe-san and he said

                    that they found Seiichi's hideout

                    in Shinagawa. Apparently, Seiichi

                    is a little deadly than we

                    imagined.

                              DAISUKE

                    How deadly?

                              RYOICHI

                    Watanabe-san said he would come in

                    and tell us in full detail. We're

                    dealing with a serial killer.

          Kazuo and Daisuke look at each other worried.

          EXT. SAKAMOTO MANOR. LATE-AFTERNOON.

          Seiichi is smoking a cigarette on the front steps of the

          manor. He looks out to the gate and sees a black figure. He

          pulls out his gun and walks closer.

                              SEIICHI

                    Who are you?

                              YUUTO

                    I've come to save Ninette.

                              SEIICHI

                    Were you the one who sent my

                    favorite henchman to me with no

                    tongue?

                              YUUTO

                    I hospitalized the other one. I

                    threw her against a wall with a

                    pipe sticking out of it. It hit her

                    right in her in spine. She won't be

                    able to walk again.

                              SEIICHI

                    You f*****g b*****d!

                              YUUTO

                    Give her back to me, and I will

                    leave your family alone! I can't

                    say that for the rest of my team,

                    but I will not finish off your

                    family unless I have to.

                              SEIICHI

                    Then you're going to have to sit

                    through a long divorce. Ninette and

                    I are now husband and wife.

          Yuuto's clenches his fists.

                              SEIICHI

                    You're too late to save her from

                    matrimony, lover boy.

                              YUUTO

                    Then I will fight you for her. You

                    can't get divorced from her if

                    you're dead.

                              SEIICHI

                    Is that a challenge?

                              YUUTO

                    What else would it sound like?

                              SEIICHI

                    Fine. Sounds fair, but let me warn

                    you. I'm not as easy to fight as my

                    henchmen were. You might be dead

                    before you get to the meeting

                    place.

                              YUUTO

                    And I'm warning you that I'm

                    crazier than you think. I might

                    have cut your friend's tongue out

                    but I have some unpleasant plans

                    for you when I'm done.

          Seiichi smirks.

                              SEIICHI

                    I can't wait to see you dead and

                    gone.

                              YUUTO

                    Same goes for you.

                              SEIICHI

                    Let's meet here tomorrow morning at

                    eight sharp. I'll be waiting here

                    and I'll open the gate.

                              YUUTO

                    Don't try anything like escaping

                    because your entire house is booby

                    trapped so you can't get out.

          The smirk leaves Seiichi's face. Yuuto smirks.

                              YUUTO

                    I'll see you tomorrow, eight sharp.

          INT. HOSPITAL. NIGHT.

          Kenta is standing in front of the four men with a concerned

          look on his face. There is a sliding whiteboard behind him

          with pictures of mutilated decomposed bodies.

                              KENTA

                    As you know, we found Sakamoto

                    Seiichi's hideout in Shinagawa.

                    These pictures are of the bodies we

                    found. Several of the bodies were

                    of this year, the latest one being

                    a month ago.

                              SHINOBU

                    My god. How many were there?

                              KENTA

                    We counted fifteen and there were

                    bones scattered everywhere from

                    different bodies, so there could be

                    more. Of the bodies we counted,

                    they are all female and European.

          All of them come to the same shocking conclusion and look at

          each other in fear. Daisuke turns back to Kenta.

                              DAISUKE

                    Do you think Ninette might be his

                    next victim?

                              KENTA

                    I don't honestly know. We have no

                    record of who these women were. I

                    don't know if Ninette is on his hit

                    list or what. I do know that he is

                    more dangerous than we thought.

                    Now, if you'll excuse me. I need to

                    get the report of these girls and

                    call their families. It's going to

                    be a long night. Bring the pictures

                    back to headquarters when you're

                    done with them.

          Kenta walks out of the room, leaving the men flabbergasted.

                              RYOICHI

                    Once he knows we're after him, he's

                    going to kill her, I know it.

                              KAZUO

                    And with Yuuto out there trying to

                    be the hero...

          Daisuke, Shinobu and Ryoichi look at Kazuo. Kazuo pulls out

          his phone.

          EXT/INT. SAKAMOTO MANOR. NIGHT.

          Yuuto is sitting up in a tree watching the barred windows of

          Ninette's room. He can see Ninette sitting at the foot of

          the bed. Her eyes are swollen. Yuuto pulls his phone out and

          sees Kazuo calling. He answers.

                              YUUTO

                    What is it?

                              KAZUO

                         (over phone)

                    Have you come in contact with

                    Seiichi yet?

                              YUUTO

                    Yes, why?

                              KAZUO

                         (over phone)

                    That might not have be the best

                    idea. He's a serial killer.

                              YUUTO

                    What?

                              KAZUO

                         (over phone)

                    Kenta found his hideout and found

                    fifteen European females, all

                    mutilated. We're thinking Ninette

                    might be next and now that he knows

                    you're after him, he might kill her

                    soon.

                              YUUTO

                    Thanks for giving me the heads up.

                              KAZUO

                         (over phone)

                    If you can, keep an eye on him.

                              YUUTO

                    Don't worry. That's taken care of.

          Yuuto closes the phone. He looks over him to see Rei and

          Noboro on a higher branch.

                              YUUTO

                    Are you here to lecture me, again?

                              NOBORO

                    No, we're just worried about you.

                              YUUTO

                    I don't need you worried about me.

                              REI

                    Too bad. We're here anyway.

          Yuuto looks down to see Katashi at the bottom of the tree.

                              KATASHI

                    I can always take over for you when

                    you fight him.

                              YUUTO

                    That won't be necessary. I need to

                    be able to handle this myself.

                              KATASHI

                    I just hope you know what you're

                    doing. I know you don't have the

                    slightest clue on how you're going

                    to defeat him.

                              YUUTO

                    I'm contemplating it at the moment.

                              KATASHI

                         (sarcastic)

                    Right.

                              NOBORO

                    Leave him alone, Katashi. He needs

                    to prepare himself for tomorrow. 

                              REI

                    Are you sure you're ready, Yuuto?

          Yuuto looks over to the window to see Ninette at the window

          looking up at him. She smiles at him and he smiles back.

          Noboro and Rei look over at the window and see Ninette.

                              REI

                    She knows.

                              YUUTO

                    I'm going to save you Ninette, even

                    if is the last thing I do in my

                    life.

          In Ninette' room, Ninette continues to look out of the room.

          She hears the door open and she grabs the chair that is

          behind her and turns around to see Akihiro.

                              AKIHIRO

                    I do not blame you for being alert.

                              NINETTE

                    What do you want?

                              AKIHIRO

                    I am not going to hurt you. I do

                    not condone hurting people who do

                    not deserve it.

          Ninette puts the chair down. Akihiro begins to step closer

          but Ninette puts her hand up to stop him.

                              NINETTE

                    Please don't come near me.

          Akihiro stops.

                              AKIHIRO

                    As you wish.

                              NINETTE

                    Why are you in here?

                              AKIHIRO

                    I know you do not want to be here.

                    Someone has challenged my son to

                    some sort of duel over you

                    tomorrow. I want to give you the

                    choice to leave tonight.

                              NINETTE

                    What?

                              AKIHIRO

                    I don't want to lose my son and I

                    don't know who this person is, but

                    I fear for my son's life. Please, I

                    give you permission to leave.

                              NINETTE

                    Even if I do, I will not be free.

                    I'm legally married to him.

                              AKIHIRO

                    I can make it so it never happened.

                    Please, take me up on this offer.

          Ninette walks to her bed and grabs her purse.

                              SEIICHI

                    I wouldn't pack just yet.

          Ninette looks over at the door to see Seiichi.

                              SEIICHI

                    Father, why would you do this to

                    me?

                              AKIHIRO

                    I'm trying to keep you alive.

                              SEIICHI

                    I can take care of myself!

          Seiichi looks at Ninette.

                              SEIICHI

                    Your little boyfriend shouldn't

                    have come to my doorstep. You are

                    mine, do you understand! Answer me!

                              NINETTE

                    I do not belong to anyone!

                    Especially not you.

          Seiichi bolts over to her and grabs her throat. She tries to

          pull his grip away. He pushes her on the bed and jumps on

          top of her. She starts to scream and throwing her arms in a

          frenzy. Seiichi tries to grab her arms to pin them down.

                              AKIHIRO

                         (Yelling)

                    Stop this now!

          Seiichi stops, lifts himself off of the bed and begins to

          walk out of the room.

                              SEIICHI

                    No one is leaving this house.

          He walks out of the room. Akihiro looks at Ninette as he

          leaves, closing the door behind him. Ninette lies on the bed

          until she hears her phone vibrating under her bed. She

          quickly rises to pull her purse out from under her bed and

          answers her phone.

                              NINETTE

                    Yuuto?

                              YUUTO

                         (over phone)

                    What is going on! I heard you

                    screaming!

                              NINETTE

                    It's fine, everything is fine now.

                              YUUTO

                         (over phone)

                    Please, don't try to provoke him,

                    he's dangerous.

                              NINETTE

                    You think I don't know that.

                              YUUTO

                         (over phone)

                    He's might kill you, Ninette.

          Ninette freezes.

                              NINETTE

                    Kill me?

                              YUUTO

                         (over phone)

                    He's a serial killer, Ninette. If

                    we can't save you, you're dead. He

                    will kill you when he gets the

                    chance.

          Ninette sits on the bed.

                              NINETTE

                    What do you suggest I do?

                              YUUTO

                         (over phone)

                    Be patient. I will finish him

                    tomorrow and you will be safe.

                              NINETTE

                    I trust you.

          Ninette closes the phone and tosses it into her purse.

          EXT. CHIYODA. MORNING.

          Daisuke and Ryoichi are in the front seat of the government

          van, Ryoichi is driving. Shinobu and Kazuo are sitting in

          the back. Shinobu has the tracking system up on his

          computer.

                              DAISUKE

                    Are we getting close?

                              SHINOBU

                    We are. Take the next left and then

                    on the second intersection, you're

                    going to want to take another left.

                              RYOICHI

                    Alright.

          EXT. SAKAMOTO MANOR. MORNING.

          Yuuto is standing outside of the gate to the manor. Yuuto

          looks at his watch. Seven fifty-five. He looks over to his

          right to see Katashi walking towards him. Katashi stops

          right next to him.

                              KATASHI

                    Are you ready for this?

                              YUUTO

                    If I die, I know the guys can

                    handle the rest. Having that

                    Of course.

          They are silent for a moment.

                              KATASHI

                    I believe in you, Yuuto. I know you

                    can do this.

          Yuuto smiles.

                              YUUTO

                    Are you finally going to let me do

                    something on my own?

                              KATASHI

                    The time has come. I think after

                    this, if you survive, you won't

                    need me anymore.

                              YUUTO

                    Will you leave forever?

                              KATASHI

                    I can't leave, I'll still be here

                    but I won't have a reason to come

                    out. You'll be on your own.

                              REI

                    Yuuto!

          Yuuto looks to his left and sees Noboro and Rei running

          towards him.

                              NOBORO

                    We want to see you go through with

                    this, since this might be our last

                    time together.

                              YUUTO

                    I'll do my best to make sure that

                    doesn't happen.

                              REI

                    But you can't be sure, so we're

                    here anyway.

          Yuuto smiles. He hears the door in the distance. He looks up

          to see Seiichi, Akihiro,and two men holding Ninette coming

          out of the manor.

                              KATASHI

                    Good luck, kid.

                              NOBORO

                    This is it.

                              REI

                    Go kick his a*s.

                              YUUTO

                    Its time.

          Seiichi pulls a remote from his pocket and hits a button.

          The gate slides open and Yuuto walks in. Seiichi hits

          another button to close the gate. Seiichi walks down the

          stairs to Yuuto.

                              YUUTO

                    I see you didn't chicken out.

                              SEIICHI

                    Well, you did say I couldn't leave.

                              YUUTO

                    I also lied.

          Seiichi looks puzzled.

                              YUUTO

                    Being a deception expert has its

                    perks. I can lie and no one will

                    know.

                              SEIICHI

                    B*****d.

                              YUUTO

                    Are we going to do this or not?

                              SEIICHI

                    Only one rule; no weapons. We fight

                    with our bare hands.

                              YUUTO

                    Fine.

          Yuuto pulls his guns out of his pockets and throws them

          towards the gate. Seiichi shows that he has none. Yuuto

          looks up at Ninette who is looking at him. Yuuto takes off

          his jacket and throws it to the side.

                              SEIICHI

                    You ready?

                              YUUTO

                    Let's finish this.

          Seiichi goes in for a hit but Yuuto dodges. Yuuto continues

          to dodge Seiichi's attacks for a while until Seiichi kicks

          Yuuto in the back when he is off guard. Yuuto falls to the

          ground.

                              NINETTE

                    Yuuto!

          Yuuto jumps back up to see the government van pulling up.

          Daisuke, Ryoichi and Kazuo jump out of the van and run to

          the gate.

                              DAISUKE

                         (yelling)

                    Yuuto, what the hell are you doing?

          Yuuto charges at Seiichi with punches and kicks. Seiichi

          dodges the kicks but leaves himself open for a few punches.

          Seiichi is knocked back but jumps right back up. Seiichi

          charges for Yuuto and punches him in the stomach, knocking

          him back to the ground.

                              YUUTO

                    S**t.

                              SEIICHI

                    You brought a posse with you. I

                    forgot to tell you the rule of no

                    backup.

                              YUUTO

                    I didn't call them.

                              SEIICHI

                    Then who did?

          Ninette spots the gun from one of the men beside her and

          grabs it. She shoots at Seiichi's feet to get his attention.

          One of the men takes the gun from her and pulls her arms

          back. He turns to look at her, giving Yuuto the chance to

          grab Seiichi's arm and twist it behind him. Seiichi turns to

          grab Yuuto's head and throws him into the ground. Yuuto

          pushes himself up, throwing Seiichi off of him. Seiichi

          pulls out two knives from his shoes and stands. Yuuto

          stands.

                              YUUTO

                    I thought you said no weapons.

                              SEIICHI

                    I thought you were a deception

                    expert.

                              YUUTO

                    Oh, f**k you.

          Seiichi goes in for an attack but Yuuto steps out of the

          way, grabbing Seiichi's shoulders and pulling him back to

          the ground. He steps away. Seiichi stands again. Yuuto hears

          Ninette screaming in pain. He looks up at her to see one of

          the men holding her still while the other is holding a knife

          to her face.

                              YUUTO

                    Ninette!

          Seiichi runs to Yuuto and stabs him in the stomach. Daisuke

          and the others are shocked.

                              DAISUKE

                    Yuuto!

          Ninette looks down to see.

                              NINETTE

                    Yuuto!

          Seiichi drops the other knife to pull Yuuto closer, pushing

          the knife in deeper. Yuuto looks directly at him.

                              SEIICHI

                    I'm done with this.

          Seiichi pushes Yuuto down on the ground. Yuuto grabs his

          stomach in pain. Seiichi kneels down on top of Yuuto.

                              SEIICHI

                    It's time for you to die.

          Seiichi raises the knife over his head. Yuuto has the

          flashback of his father's death. He looks over to Seiichi's

          other knife and grabs it. As Seiichi strikes the knife down,

          Yuuto stabs Seiichi in the side of the head. Seiichi's blade

          scratches Yuuto's neck slightly. Seiichi falls over, off of

          Yuuto. He dies. Everyone is silent. Yuuto stands and limps

          over to the bottom of the stairs.

                              AKIHIRO

                    You killed my son.

                              YUUTO

                    I killed a monster, your son

                    deserved his fate for all of the

                    women he has killed.

                              AKIHIRO

                    What are you talking about?

                              YUUTO

                         (yelling)

                    Your son is a murderer! He's killed

                    women just like Ninette! He was

                    going to kill her too!

          Akihiro is silent. The men let go of Ninette. She starts to

          leave but Akihiro stops her.

                              NINETTE

                    It's done. Let me go.

          Akihiro looks at her and then the men. He nods and they grab

          her and pull her back into the house. She screams. Yuuto

          starts up the stairs but Akihiro pulls out his gun and aims

          it at Yuuto.

                              YUUTO

                    Your son and I made a deal that she

                    was free if I killed him.

                              AKIHIRO

                    I am not one for keeping promises

                    for other people. Especially ones

                    who hurt my workers. You killed my

                    son. My revenge is keeping your

                    prize. Making you suffer is a

                    better punishment then killing you.

                              YUUTO

                    Please!

          Akihiro walks down to Yuuto and kicks him down the stairs.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Get the f**k out of here. All of

                    you.

          Akihiro enters the house and closes the door. The gate opens

          and Daisuke and the others run to Yuuto. Kazuo and Ryoichi

          try to pull Yuuto up but he refuses.

                              YUUTO

                         (yelling)

                    I'm not leaving! I will finish

                    this! I will get her back!

                              DAISUKE

                    Yuuto, you're injured. You need to

                    get your wounds taken care of.

                              YUUTO

                    I'm not going back to the hospital!

                              DAISUKE

                    We can call the police to raid the

                    manor.

                              YUUTO

                    Don't you dare call them!

          Yuuto's breathing increases. He falls onto his side,

          unconscious. Kazuo and Ryoichi pull him up and walk him over

          to the van. Shinobu opens the door and they lay Yuuto down

          on his back. Shinobu grabs the first aid kit while Ryoichi

          and Kazuo pull Yuuto's shirt off. Shinobu begins to treat

          Yuuto's stab wound.

                              SHINOBU

                    How is his breathing?

                              RYOICHI

                    It's stable. His heart rate is too.

                              SHINOBU

                    Good.

          Daisuke gets in the van on the driver's side and drives the

          van away from the manor.

          INT. HOTEL. NOON.

          Shinobu is working on his computer at the desk. Yuuto is

          lying on the bed, still unconscious. Daisuke, Ryoichi and

          Kazuo are scattered around the room. Everyone is silent.

          Daisuke grabs his phone from his pocket.

                              RYOICHI

                    What are you doing?

                              DAISUKE

                    I'm calling Watanabe so he can get

                    the police to Sakamoto manor.

                              KAZUO

                    Don't.

          Daisuke throws the phone at the wall in frustration,

          breaking it. Shinobu stops what he is doing and focuses on

          Daisuke.

                              DAISUKE

                         (yelling)

                    Then what the hell are we supposed

                    to do? I have about had it with

                    this entire mission and I'm ready

                    to get it over with! We are one

                    call away from ending this, why are

                    we stalling?

                              KAZUO

                    You think you're the only one that

                    wants this to be over? We can't

                    call the police because there is a

                    chance that Sakamoto will kill

                    Ninette.

                              DAISUKE

                    When we started this mission, we

                    were protecting a princess. We've

                    found out that she's a illegitimate

                    child and her father doesn't want

                    her anymore. Why are we still

                    trying to protect her?

                              KAZUO

                    Because Yuuto loves her!

          Daisuke is silent.

                              KAZUO

                    When I first started this mission,

                    I was cold hearted and I didn't

                    want to believe in hope or love. I

                    didn't want to see my sister fall

                    for you. It hit me after I killed

                    Furusawa, I felt nothing. I thought

                    everything would be better and I

                    could live a normal life, I could

                    have hope once again. I got that

                    when I fell in love. You feel

                    hopeful when you love someone. I

                    see hope in Shinobu and Ryoichi...

                    and I saw it in you. I now see the

                    same in Yuuto. He's not doing this

                    for the mission, or for Watanabe.

                    He's doing this so he can have what

                    we have. Something that he has

                    never had before. He needs this

                    more than anyone. If he loses her,

                    it will be all over for him and you

                    know that.

          Daisuke looks away from Kazuo.

                              KAZUO

                    You can go to Watanabe and tell him

                    you quit the mission, but until

                    Ninette is safe with us again, I'm

                    sticking with Yuuto until he

                    finishes this.

          There is silence. Ryoichi steps up to Kazuo.

                              RYOICHI

                    I'm with Ishikawa.

          Shinobu stands.

                              SHINOBU

                    Me too.

          Daisuke looks at Kazuo and sees his determination. Daisuke

          chuckles.

                              DAISUKE

                    Well, it's not a team until there

                    is all of us.

          He looks back at Shinobu and then back at Kazuo.

                              DAISUKE

                    Let's finish this and get Ninette

                    back.

          Kazuo smiles.

                              KAZUO

                    That's what I want to hear from my

                    leader.

          INT. SAKAMOTO MANOR. NOON.

          Ninette is kicking the door to her room, trying to force it

          open.

                              NINETTE

                         (yelling)

                    Let me out of here, you scumbag!

          She kicks the door again but it won't budge. She leans

          against the door and slides down to sit. She closes her eyes

          and remembers Seiichi stabbing Yuuto. She winces.

                              NINETTE

                    Please be alright.

          INT/EXT. DIH. MID-AFTERNOON.

          Kenta standing at the screen in the room, looking at a map

          of Chiyoda. Daisuke and Ryoichi are standing behind him.

                              DAISUKE

                    We have found the Sakamoto manor

                    and their leader, Sakamoto Akihiro,

                    is the only one left.

                              KENTA

                    I'll call the NPA and have them

                    surround the place.

                              RYOICHI

                    We need to hold off on calling the

                    police. Sakamoto just lost his son

                    and if the police get anywhere near

                    that house, he might kill Ninette.

          Kenta turns to them.

                              KENTA

                    Well, what do you suggest we do? We

                    have to get her out of there!

                              DAISUKE

                    We know that and we have a plan.

                              KENTA

                    And what is this plan?

                              DAISUKE

                    Shinobu thinks there is a better

                    chance of getting Ninette out alive

                    if we have someone sneak in the

                    house and distract Sakamoto before

                    we get the police involved.

                              KENTA

                    Who are you going to send?

                              DAISUKE

                    Kawano and Takanori have decided to

                    go.

                              KENTA

                    Is Takanori physically able to do

                    it? Last time I checked, he shot

                    himself and he had second degree

                    burns on thirty percent of his

                    body. How was he able to

                    hospitalize a hitman and kill

                    Sakamoto Seiichi?

                              DAISUKE

                    Honestly, we're not even sure, but

                    he is dedicated and he wants to

                    finish this mission with the rest

                    of us.

          Kenta sighs.

                              KENTA

                    Alright. Have the two of them sneak

                    in and have Shinobu contact me when

                    the time is right. I'll have the

                    NPA not too far away.

                              DAISUKE

                    Thank you, Watanabe-san.

          Outside, Ryoichi and Daisuke leave the building. They walk

          to the van and get in, Daisuke on the driver side.

                              RYOICHI

                    Do you think this is going to work?

                              DAISUKE

                    Honestly, I'm scared that this is

                    going to end badly.

                              RYOICHI

                    I'm glad I'm not the only one.

          EXT/INT. SAKAMOTO MANOR. NIGHT.

          In the government van, Yuuto and Ryoichi are both in black

          pants and black long sleeve shirts. Shinobu is on his

          computer with the tracking system up. Daisuke and Kazuo are

          readying weapons.

                              DAISUKE

                    Are you guys ready to do this?

          Yuuto nods.

                              RYOICHI

                    Yeah.

                              SHINOBU

                    You need to enter from the back of

                    the house. Be careful of any traps

                    that might be set.

                              YUUTO

                    We'll be careful.

          Yuuto opens the door and him and Ryoichi step out. Daisuke

          and Kazuo begin handing them weapons. Yuuto and Ryoichi

          start to leave.

                              DAISUKE

                    Yuuto, Ryoichi...

          They turn to him.

                              DAISUKE

                    Good luck, and if it happens, it

                    was a pleasure working with both of

                    you.

          Kazuo and Shinobu both look at Daisuke. Shinobu looks at

          Yuuto and Ryoichi.

                              SHINOBU

                    It was a pleasure, but you better

                    make it out.

          Kazuo looks at them.

                              KAZUO

                    Remember you have people waiting

                    for you when you get out.

                              RYOICHI

                    Thank you. If it happens, tell

                    Yumiko and Ken'ichi that I love

                    them.

                              DAISUKE

                    We will. Yuuto, do you have

                    anything to say?

          Yuuto is quiet.

                              YUUTO

                    If Ninette gets out alive and I

                    don't, tell her my life didn't mean

                    anything until I met her.

                              DAISUKE

                    Alright.

          Ryoichi puts his hand on Yuuto's shoulder.

                              RYOICHI

                    Are you ready?

                              YUUTO

                    Yes, let's go.

          In Ninette's room, Ninette takes one of the chairs in the

          room and slams it against the door. The chair breaks. She

          runs into the bathroom and grabs the toilet head. She walks

          back to the door and slams the toilet head onto the

          doorknob, breaking it. The door slowly opens. She throws the

          toilet head down and picks up two of the broken chair legs

          and runs out of the room. She sees two suited men running up

          the stairs. She runs towards them and attacks them. She

          knocks both of them down the stairs and runs towards the

          front door. She reaches for the doorknob but a shot is heard

          and a bullet flies at the doorknob. She looks to see where

          it came from and sees Akihiro pointing a gun at her.

                              AKIHIRO

                    You think you could leave that

                    easily? I'm afraid I can't let you

                    leave.

          In another room upstairs, Yuuto climbs in through an open

          window. He quietly walks towards the door and opens it. He

          hears Akihiro and Ninette below.

                              NINETTE

                    I'm not going to stay here when

                    there is no reason for me to be

                    here.

                              AKIHIRO

                    You think you have no reason to be

                    here? My son paid for you.

                              NINETTE

                    Your son is also dead!

          Akihiro charges after her and she holds the chair legs up in

          defense. She backs away from him as he continues to pursue.

                              NINETTE

                    Stay away from me!

          Yuuto looks ahead of him and sees Ryoichi peaking around the

          corner to watch Ninette and Akihiro. He also looks at Yuuto.

          Yuuto nods and Ryoichi does the same. Yuuto pulls out his

          gun and c***s it. Akihiro stops. Ryoichi's eyes widen and he

          notions to Yuuto to stop. Yuuto stops.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Someone is here.

          Ninette looks at the top of the stairs. Akihiro turns around

          and looks at the top of the stairs. Ninette sees that

          Akihiro is distracted and swings the legs towards him. He

          sees her out of the corner of his eye and ducks. She swings

          around and Akihiro punches her in the back. She screams and

          drops the chair legs. Yuuto steps out and aims his gun.

                              RYOICHI

                    Yuuto!

          Yuuto fires the gun but misses Akihiro. Akihiro looks up at

          him.

                              AKIHIRO

                    So, you came back.

          Ryoichi pulls his gun out and steps out and aims the gun at

          Akihiro.

                              RYOICHI

                    He's not alone.

                              AKIHIRO

                    I can see.

          Akihiro pulls Ninette to him and uses her as a shield.

                              AKIHIRO

                    I dare you to fire.

          Yuuto lowers his gun and Ryoichi does the same. Akihiro

          laughs.

                              AKIHIRO

                    You have to be the worst rescuers.

                              YUUTO

                    Ryoichi, go.

                              RYOICHI

                    What?

                              YUUTO

                    Go! You have people waiting for you

                    after this is over, I don't. Get

                    out of here while you have the

                    chance.

          Yuuto winks at Ryoichi. Ryoichi nods. He enters the room he

          came out of. He pulls out his phone and dials.

                              RYOICHI

                    Give us fifteen minutes and then

                    call Watanabe.

          Yuuto slowly walks down the stairs.

                              AKIHIRO

                    You heal very quickly, don't you?

                              YUUTO

                    No, I'm too determined to kill you

                    to worry about my own well being.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Ah, you're crazy.

                              YUUTO

                    You have no idea.

          Akihiro places the guns against Ninette's head to make Yuuto

          stop.

                              AKIHIRO

                    I don't have a problem making you

                    suffer. I will kill her right in

                    front of you like you killed my son

                    right in front of me. Then you can

                    live with the knowledge that you

                    could have saved her but you

                    failed.

                              YUUTO

                    I'm not going to let that happen.

                              AKIHIRO

                    Confident, aren't you?

          The two men at the bottom of the stairs stand up and grab

          Yuuto form behind. He struggles but he cannot get away.

          Another suited man comes out from another room. Akihiro

          hands him Ninette.

                              AKIHIRO

                    How about I torture her in front of

                    you? Would that be alright?

                              YUUTO

                    F**k you, you b*****d. Lay a hand

                    on her and you'll be sorry.

          In the upstairs room, Ryoichi is putting together a device.

          He slides a piece of metal inside of the device and closes

          the top. He pulls a remote out of his pocket and presses a

          button. A beep comes from the device.

                              RYOICHI

                    Alright.

          He turns when he hears Yuuto yelling and Ninette screaming.

          Out in the hall, Yuuto watches as Akihiro cuts Ninette's

          shirt open. One of Akihiro's servants bring him a hot

          branding rod. Ninette screams and tries to get away.

                              YUUTO

                         (yelling)

                    Please, stop!

          Akihiro takes the rod and lowers it on Ninette's stomach.

          She screams.

                              YUUTO

                         (yelling)

                    Kawano!

          Ryoichi runs out of the room and throws the device down the

          stairs. The device rolls to Akihiro's feet. Akihiro pulls

          the branding rod off of Ninette.

                              AKIHIRO

                    What the hell is this?

          Yuuto breaks away from the men and charges for Ninette and

          pulls her away from the men.

                              YUUTO

                    Now!

          Ryoichi presses a button and the device explodes.

          Outside, Shinobu, Daisuke and Kazuo are staring at the

          manor.

                              SHINOBU

                    Oh god.

                              DAISUKE

                    They couldn't have survived that.

          Kenta and several NPA officers run towards the building and

          kick the front door open. They run into the smoked hallway.

                              KENTA

                    We're the NPA, everyone associated

                    with the Sakamoto yakuza are under

                    arrest.

          Kenta sees dark figures in the smoke. Kenta pulls his gun

          out and c***s it.

                              RYOICHI

                    Don't shoot!

          Ryoichi and Yuuto carrying Ninette, who is unconscious,

          slowly walks toward them.

                              KENTA

                    Get paramedics in here!

          Ryoichi and Yuuto carry Ninette out of the front door. Two

          paramedics run towards them and take Ninette from them.

          Yuuto and Ryoichi collapse onto a step. Daisuke and Kazuo

          run towards them, Shinobu limps behind them. Daisuke reaches

          them first.

                              DAISUKE

                    Are you guys okay? Do either of you

                    need to go to the hospital?

                              RYOICHI

                    I'm fine.

                              YUUTO

                    I'm good.

                              KAZUO

                    Is Sakamoto dead?

                              RYOICHI

                    I don't know.

          Shinobu reaches them.

                              SHINOBU

                    I can't believe you guys are alive.

                              YUUTO

                    Wow, thanks for the confidence.

                              SHINOBU

                    That was a giant explosion.

                              RYOICHI

                    Hey, we got out. That's all that

                    matters. Ninette is alive and so

                    are we. I'm ready to get everything

                    back to normal.

          Daisuke smiles.

                              DAISUKE

                    Me too. Let's get everyone back

                    home.

          Yuuto stands and runs to the ambulance carrying Ninette. The

          men watch him talking to one of the paramedics and then he

          jumps in the back of the ambulance before it drives off.

                              KAZUO

                    I'll call my friend from New York

                    and get him to send everyone back.

                    He can probably get them back

                    either tomorrow or the day after.

                              SHINOBU

                    Sounds good.

                              DAISUKE

                    Let's go home.

          INT. HOSPITAL. MORNING.

          Yuuto is sitting next to Ninette's gurney. She wakes up and

          sees him. He smiles at her.

                              NINETTE

                    Yuuto?

                              YUUTO

                    You're safe now.

          Ninette jumps up and hugs him tightly. She cries.

                              NINETTE

                    It's all over?

          Yuuto tenses up but wraps his arms around her.

                              YUUTO

                    Yeah, it's all over.

                              NINETTE

                    Thank you. Thank you.

          Yuuto starts to tear up but he just smiles.

          INT. AIRPORT. MORNING.

          Daisuke, Shinobu, Kazuo and Ryoichi are standing, waiting

          for the airplane to unload. They are holding up a sign that

          says "Welcome home Kiyomi, Natsumi, Yumiko, and Ken'ichi!"

          As people start to exit the terminal, Shinobu tries to

          locate them. He becomes excited.

                              SHINOBU

                    Hold the sign up!

          The four of them hold the sign up high.

                              KEN'ICHI

                    Daddy!

                              RYOICHI

                    Ken'ichi!

          Ryoichi sees Ken'ichi running towards him. Ryoichi lets go

          of the sign and run towards him. He knells down and lets

          Ken'ichi run into his arms. He holds Ken'ichi close to him.

                              KEN'ICHI

                    I missed you, daddy!

                              RYOICHI

                    I missed you too!

          Natsumi, Kazumi and Yumiko walk out of the crowd. Natsumi is

          showing a little more than before. The men drop the sign.

          Shinobu limps towards Natsumi, Daisuke and Kazuo run to

          Kiyomi and Yumiko runs to Ryoichi and Ken'ichi.

                              NATSUMI

                    Shinobu!

          Natsumi hugs Shinobu tightly and he kisses her.

                              SHINOBU

                    Natsu!

                              NATSUMI

                    What happened to your leg?

                              SHINOBU

                    I'll be fine, it's okay.

          Kiyomi hugs Kazuo before she kisses and hugs Daisuke.

                              KIYOMI

                    I'm so glad both of you are okay.

          Yumiko knells down and hugs Ryoichi and Ken'ichi. Ryoichi

          looks into her eyes. He strokes her cheek.

                              YUMIKO

                    I was afraid I was going to lose

                    you.

                              RYOICHI

                    I'm not going anywhere.

          Everyone is smiling. Shinobu feels Natsumi's stomach and

          smiles wide. Kiyomi kisses Daisuke again. Kazuo smiles at

          their union. Ryoichi and Yumiko stand and embrace each

          other. Ken'ichi smiles at them.

          INT/EXT. DIH. MID-AFTERNOON.

          The next day, Daisuke, Kazuo, Ryoichi, Shinobu, and Yuuto

          are standing in front of Kenta's desk. Kenta is sitting

          behind his desk, Ninette is standing behind him.

                              KENTA

                    Uchida, I am proud to say that the

                    Sakamoto yakuza clan has been

                    successfully taken down by your

                    team. Because of your judgment and

                    your leadership, I am promoting

                    you.

          Daisuke is surprised.

                              DAISUKE

                    Are you serious, sir?

          Kenta nods.

                              DAISUKE

                    Thank you sir.

          Daisuke bows.

                              KENTA

                    Ogawa Shinobu, I am promoting you

                    to head forensic specialist.

                              SHINOBU

                    Thank you, Watanabe-san.

          Shinobu bows.

                              KENTA

                    Kawano Ryoichi, you have the choice

                    to re-enlist in the Japanese Ground

                    Self-Defense Force as Colonel.

                              RYOICHI

                    I appreciate the offer,

                    Watanabe-san, but I would like to

                    be able to finish raising my son.

                              KENTA

                    The offer will still stand in case

                    you change your mind.

                              RYOICHI

          Ryoichi bows.

                    opportunity to work for the prime

                    minister as a body guard.

                              KAZUO

                    I will gladly take the position.

                              KENTA

                    I will inform the prime minister of

                    your acceptance.

                              KAZUO

                    Thank you, sir.

          Kazuo bows.

                              KENTA

                    And finally, Takanori Yuuto. You

                    came into this mission as a

                    convicted thief. All of the charges

                    against you have been dropped and

                    you are now a free man.

                              YUUTO

                    Thank you, sir.

          Yuuto bows.

                              KENTA

                    Congratulations to you all. I am

                    proud of this team.

                              NINETTE

                    I would like to thank all of you

                    for your bravery. I welcome you all

                    to Monaco any time.

                              DAISUKE

                    Are you going back to Monaco?

                              NINETTE

                    I don't want to but there is some

                    unfinished business I need to

                    attend to there.

                              KENTA

                    Well, that settles everything.

                    Thank you all for your services.

                    You are free to go.

          Outside of the building, everyone is watching Ninette having

          her baggage packed in the back of the limo by the driver.

          Ninette walks towards them.

                              NINETTE

                    I guess this is goodbye.

                              DAISUKE

                    I wouldn't say goodbye, just see

                    you again.

          Ninette smiles.

                              NINETTE

                    Just remember that you are invited

                    to Monaco any time. I welcome you.

                              KAZUO

                    I heard its a good honeymoon spot,

                    Daisuke.

          Everyone laughs.

                              RYOICHI

                    What do you have left to do in

                    Monaco?

                              NINETTE

                    I have to settle things with my

                    father. He's not going to get rid

                    of me that easily.

          Ninette walks up to Yuuto.

                              NINETTE

                    What are you going to do, now that

                    you're free?

                              YUUTO

                    I'm thinking of checking myself

                    into a mental institution. I'm

                    going to try to go through some

                    treatment to put myself back

                    together.

                              NINETTE

                    I'm glad you are taking that step.

                              YUUTO

                    I wouldn't have thought about it if

                    it wasn't for you.

          Ninette nods.

                              YUUTO

                    Please say I'll see you again.

                              NINETTE

                    Of course. I don't know when but I

                    will come back for you.

                              YUUTO

                    I will see you then.

          Ninette throws her arms around his neck.

                              NINETTE

                         (whisper)

                    I love you, Yuuto.

          Ninette lets him go and walks towards the limo. The driver

          opens the door for her. She waves at them and they wave

          back. She slips in the back seat and the driver closes the

          door. The driver gets in the limo and drives off. Daisuke

          walks over to Yuuto.

                              DAISUKE

                    Are you really going to get help?

                              YUUTO

                    I need it. If I can put myself back

                    together again, I will be a better

                    person. At least that's what I

                    think.

                              SHINOBU

                    I'm surprised you're not going with

                    her.

                              RYOICHI

                    Me too. All of us thought you had

                    fallen in love with her and wanted

                    to be with her.

                              YUUTO

                         (laughing)

                    I did and I do but if I'm going to

                    be with her, I need to straighten

                    myself out first.

                              KAZUO

                    That's a good decision.

          Yuuto bows to them.

                              YUUTO

                    Thank you for putting up with me.

                    I'm going to pack my things so I

                    can go in tomorrow. It was a

                    pleasure working with you all.

                              SHINOBU

                    It was an honor working with a

                    brave soul such as yourself.

          Yuuto smiles.

                              KAZUO

                    Take care of yourself.

                              YUUTO

                    You too. I would like to hear from

                    all of you while I'm there. I love

                    reading letters.

                              RYOICHI

                    Will do.

          Yuuto walks away from them with a smile on his face.

          Katashi, Rei and Noboro are walking next to him. Yuuto looks

          to his sides to see them. He continues to smile as he walks

          along the sidewalk.

          INT. PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL. NOON.

          Six months later.

          A nurse walks into Yuuto's room. She is carrying an envelope

          and a box. Yuuto is sitting on his bed, reading a book. His

          hair is shorter and he looks almost peaceful.

                              NURSE

                    Takanori-san, you have some mail.

                              YUUTO

                    Thank you, just sit it on the edge

                    of the bed.

          She lays the box and envelope on the bed and walks out.

          Yuuto places the book on the bedside table and pulls the box

          to him. He opens it and sees a photo album. He pulls it out

          and opens it to the first page and sees a picture of

          Ryoichi, Kazuo, Shinobu and Daisuke smiles and holding up

          thumbs up. Yuuto smiles. He grabs the envelope and opens it.

          He pulls out four folded pages and unfolds them. He begins

          to read to himself.

          The credit song begins.

                              KAZUO

                         (voice over)

                    Hey Yuuto, I hope everything is

                    going well for you at the hospital.

                    We've been thinking about you. A

                    lot has happened in the past six

                    months. Jun and Haru moved in with

                    me in Tokyo. I accepted my job

                    offer of being the prime minister's

                    bodyguard and it has also been

                    going well.

          Yuuto turns the page of the photo album and sees pictures of

          Jun and Haru, some pictures of just them or with Kazuo.

                              KAZUO

                         (voice over)

                    That's about it for me. I haven't

                    heard anything from Ninette, I hope

                    she's gotten back to you. I hope

                    you get discharged soon so you can

                    see everyone. Kazuo.

          Yuuto lays Kazuo's letter to the side and reads the next one

          which is from Daisuke. He turns the page in the album and

          sees pictures of Daisuke and Kiyomi's wedding.

          A montage starts during the voice over of Daisuke and

          Kiyomi's wedding. Kazuo walks Kiyomi down the aisle. Daisuke

          is seen smiling, Shinobu is standing beside him as the best

          man. Once Kiyomi is with Daisuke, Kazuo sits next to Jun and

          Haru and holds Jun's hand.

                              DAISUKE

                         (voice over)

                    Yuuto, is everything going well? To

                    catch you up on my life, I got

                    married. Kiyomi and I had a small

                    wedding and we invited some family

                    and friends. Ryoichi brought

                    Ken'ichi and Yumiko and Shinobu

                    brought Natsumi. Shinobu was my

                    best man since he's been my friend

                    for half of my life. I really wish

                    you could have been there. I hope

                    Ninette as talked to you and I hope

                    your treatment is going well.

                    Daisuke.

          Yuuto turns the page in the album to see pictures of

          Ryoichi, Yumiko, and Ken'ichi. He lays Daisuke's letter down

          and reads Ryoichi's letter.

          Another montage starts during Ryoichi's voice over. Ryoichi,

          Yumiko and Ken'ichi are walking through a park. Ryoichi

          stops and Yumiko looks back at him. He kneels down and pulls

          a ring box out of his pocket. He opens it revealing a

          diamond ring. Yumiko is stunned and she nods. Ryoichi stands

          and Yumiko jumps in his arms. He swings her around, Ken'ichi

          is laughing joyfully.

                              RYOICHI

                         (voice over)

                    What's up, Yuuto. I have a lot of

                    good news but one really big one.

                    After six months of dating, Yumiko

                    accepted my proposal. Ken'ichi is

                    very happy to have a new mother. We

                    plan on getting married in a couple

                    of months so hopefully you will be

                    out to see it. I haven't heard from

                    Ninette but I'm sure she's really

                    busy. Good luck on your treatment.

                    Ryoichi.

          Yuuto turns the page of the album to see pictures of

          Shinobu, Natsumi, and their new baby. Yuuto lays Ryoichi's

          letter aside and reads the last one, which is Shinobu's.

          The last montage starts in the hospital. Natsumi is sweating

          from giving birth. Shinobu is beside her, patting her

          forehand with a towel. A nurse comes in with a baby in a

          blue blanket. She gently lays the baby in Natsumi's arms.

          Natsumi and Shinobu smile at the child.

                              SHINOBU

                         (voice over)

                    Hey, Yuuto. Hope everything is

                    well. Natsumi had the baby about

                    two weeks ago. She gave birth to a

                    healthy baby boy. I felt very

                    inspired by you for everything you

                    did during the mission. We ended up

                    naming him Yuuto. I promise with

                    all my heart that he will know the

                    love that you deserved. I can't

                    wait for you to meet him. Last time

                    I checked, nobody has heard from

                    Ninette but hopefully she'll get

                    back to you soon. Shinobu.

          Yuuto continues to turn the pages of the album and looks

          through all of the pictures of the men and their families.

          Yuuto closes the book and stands up. He walks toward the

          window and looks out. Something catches his eye on the

          ground.

          A woman walks towards the entrance to the facility.

          Yuuto runs out of the room and down the hallway. He runs

          into the stairwell and down the stairs.

          The woman enters the facility and walks up to the front

          desk. She signs a form and is led to a locked door by an

          orderly.

          Yuuto exits the stairwell on the first floor and runs down

          the hall. He turns the corner to see the orderly letting the

          woman in. She lifts her head. It is Ninette. Yuuto smiles at

          her and she smiles back. He begins to walk towards her and

          she begins to walk to him. They reach each other and they

          stare into each others' eyes. Ninette reaches for his face

          and strokes his cheek. He is relaxed for the first time. She

          smiles. He strokes her cheek and kisses her. She wraps her

          arms around his neck. Their lips part and he smiles. They

          continue to embrace as the credit song ends.
