First Kiss

The memory of a first kiss...

Two young hearts

walked to the same beat

with interlaced fingers

in cool fall heat

We counted the pieces

as the sky fell down

you asked me to be yours

sweet breath on my crown

"Of course" was my answer

we are true loves

as stars dotted the ceiling

to the song of turtle doves

A back alley we crept

your skateboard in hand

which became the seat

of our passion's first stand

I smile to myself now

as we still live in bliss

when I think those years back

to our very first kiss

A poem I thought of the other day, when I was thinking about mine and my Husband's first kiss ^_^

My real first kiss was when I was about seven years old. I had a crush on a girl in my class, and she knew it. After a few months, I went up to her (remind you, I was a kid and didn't really know what I was doing it for), and planted a kiss on her. At first, I thought she was gonna slap me or punch me so hard that I would end up at the nurse's office. But instead, she actually kissed me back. And we remained good friends until we reach high school. But later, I moved and never saw her again. But that was my real and most memorable kiss I had. Even to this day, I still reflect on where she may be, and wondering if she is now married and has a family of her own.

I don't remember my first kiss. The girls I've gotten to know on HERE would have played a profound and awesome role in my life, for even right now I could imagine them taking the place of a lot of "firsts"!! I hope this poem still reigns as a happy one for you. I would guess that it does because of that spirit you possess, but I still lend a hug...... both because I want to feel your hug on me and I'm being sneaky temporarily....lol...and because I wish I knew you in my forever!! Everything in my life runs in circles of 3 and 6. I've been here for 3 months and don't WANT to think about my next first because there might not be one. I won't elaborate, but you are a first for many things that I have been made privy to feeling happy and living for a change after so long with my heart stuck in awkward chess matches!! Awwww Mark we on wc LOVE you!! And I'm glad I could be your first for something....as I've yet to be anyone's first until now lol I will gladly return the hug, even if you are being sneaky teehee...I might be being sneaky myself ^_~ this poem hurts, but makes me smile at the same time. I loved him, and he gave me many wonderful firsts, but he also gave me many horrible firsts. It only hurts because of my love.

I don't want to hurt you either, Emily. I LOVE a lot about whom I have met inside you. "Inside" inside you where your heart and guts and organs are!! lol Seriously, I don't know if I have said this to you, but it would make sense because of how high I have held you in my regards to honesty and a pure love that is so rarely seen and selfishly enjoyed!! I wanted to upload my poems, find and connect with those you will learn something from me, enjoy some part of me, not hate me, and then ....kinda get rid of me. When I talk to YOU about 2-3 others on here, I can't have those kinds of thoughts and it is the coolest thing in the world to go through the normal routine of my days, and at the same time see things with gorgeous color, hear sounds that I never notice, and fall in love with the poems and poets that are my favorites.
