I Will Always Love Him

A Poem I wrote many years ago for my Husband Timothy ^_^ I LOVE YOU!!! and yes...the photo is from around the time I wrote this.

I will always love him,

Until the day I die.

I will always love him,

a truth, no not a lie.

I think about him constantly,

and dream of him at night.

He really is my everything, 

my never ending light.

I know we'll last forever,

till stars no longer shine.

I know we'll last together,

My Timothy, and I.

I really truly love you,

I never have to cry.

You always make me better,

no tears fall from my eyes.

I think about this a lot,

of a love that's meant to be,

I know now that it's in God's wish,

to be a you and me.

I know I'm not the greatest,

the bestest of the best,

but with you I'm close to perfect,

I'm able now to rest.

It's only in your arms,

I hope you'll always know.

That I feel safe and comfort,

my smile it goes to show.

I never have to worry,

whenever it comes to you.

Love is something special,

and ours is very true.

I will always love you,

until the day I die.

I will always love you,

My heart, will never lie.

Author's Note

I was fifteen when I wrote this so I know it's unbelievably corny, however....I think it explains my feelings for him very well, of a young girl in love for the very first time.

As of late, I find this poem in a bit of a jealous hue, for I would never have wished or expected certain things to come to light for you. You did not deserve such things to happen to you... as of recently, and I'm sorry if this very beautiful "in tribute" poem does not have the same *ring* it was first scribed with when emotions were lofty and adorned with promise!! Thank you dearest. I will keep up all the poems I wrote for him, because it is a reminder of how much I loved him, that my feelings were real, and I want to be able to show that to my daughter one day. Thank you again for looking after me^_^

It's been a hard road for us. My parents absolutely hate my husband. He stole my heart my freshman year in high school. He was the bad boy and I was the good girl. EVERYONE, and I do mean, even teachers, told me I should find someone else, that we wouldn't last....yet here we are going on 8 years I believe this September. We only recently had enough money saved up and got married April 25th this year, and all I do is love him more each day. Thank you for such a nice review ^_^

That's so great! not the doubt and hatred parts, but the perseverance is fantastic! I understand people not approving of your love interest; I had dated this guy for about a year and everyone told me I shouldn't be with him because I was the quiet, good girl, and he was, "not worth my time" or "bringing me down".
It turned out they were right about him, but I'm super glad you're the one who's right in your story. :)
