How Dare You

How Dare You

A Poem by Serenity Faith
"

The feeling I had when I first fell in love and when I had my daughter.

"
How dare you!
look at me, through hazy eyes
How dare you!
judge me, through foolish lies

You say that I am wrong
who told you, you were right?
I stayed true to my virtues
I still stand, in pure light

How dare you!
tell me who it is, that I should love
How dare you!
are you the one, the creator above?

I gave love to only one,
Since then, I have loved no other.
I pity you, the foolish you
do you even love, thy married brother?

How dare you!
speak your words of wisdoms
How dare you
place me, amidst the hoodlums

I am young, and he was young
we could have waited longer
a love like ours, surpasses stars
your hate just makes us stronger

How dare you!
place yourself above me
How dare you!
Do your eyes even clearly see?

Are you the voice of God?
I beg to differ dear.
If my child wasn't meant to be
then darling, she wouldn't be here.

How dare you!
speak in a voice of sorrow
How dare you!
Wish me, a brighter morrow

You can scream, and shout alike,
and preach the words of rapture
that only shows, the almighty one
whose soul that he will capture

So with this now, I'll say again
How DARE you!
A simple human
How dare YOU!
judge ME, before trying to look in

How
     dare
           you....

I like the directness of the poem. When we hold our child for the first time. A permanent bond is made. Love is uncontrolled. Heart know what is true and follow the right road. No weakness in the poem. I like the desire and the hidden story. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

I also have a child that I know was meant to be. Even if others were not planning on him. I now know he was a major life plan for me. I just did not know until he surprised me when I knew he was coming I never explained myself to anyone. This hit home for me..good write, glad I came across it.

Wow so passionate. I read it like it would be used to tell someone off. It's not right to judge people "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". This poem was very well done!
God bless

no problem:)
Excellent. The anger you show in this is totally justified, and I love they way you chose to express it. Another amazing poem, Emily! Keep writing! :)

Creatively constructed.
Defiantly and righteously hostile.
Hotly defensive of your proper status.
Incredibly proper and just.
Your poem expresses the indignation of
most of us who are inappropriately judged.
Thank You ,
---- John
