Passing Time

Passing Time

A Poem by Lovecraft
"

Time...

"
Forgetting who you once were
Time erasing all experiences,
While you try to grasp tightly.
Your attempt to hold in vain
Forever denying you its prize.

Degrading you is its sole purpose,
Its one and only act.

Do not worry yourselves,
Tis only a natural force
Of which none shall evade.

In the very end you will succumb
as of a warm and tender embrace.

I love the lines that explain how natural time is and it is so natural to worry about the time you have on this planet. Well written.

Thank you. I thought the meaning would be way too obvious and you proved me right, lol.
