In The Dark

In The Dark

A Poem by Lovecraft
"

Feeling nothing, then just plain feeling everything

"
In the Dark I remain, Inviolable and Righteous,
Moving with a perception of impunity.

Untouchable...

I feel neither remorse nor regret,
For what I've done to you,
I yet feel as if I am

Untouchable...

I care not for your pain a grief,
I care only for that which affects
Me.

In the Light I flee, Guilty and Stained,
Moving with a perception of Terror.

I truly hide no more...
