Memory Of Lights

Memory Of Lights

A Poem by Lovecraft
"

A short poem on love and falling out of it.

"
To bind your true name,
Among the stars, so vast
In the morning it will fall,
Into the deep, dark earth,
To dwell with the forgotten.

To forge our connections,
Of intimacy and fidelity,
Virtues of a long past age,
Remembering the bright,
Concealing the darkness.

This is not the place,
Just vague memories.

The way this message starts out, I find myself thinking about how many times we change ourselves for another person, thinking this is love. Or we want the other person to change, thinking that's love. It's no wonder things don't work out, when we go into it with unrealistic expectations. I love the way your message is open to interpretation (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you. This poem was vaguely inspired by a Bon Iver song called Skinny Love.
