Farewell

Farewell

A Poem by Blackpoet421

Don't cry over me, I lived my dayz long, I've been blessed to see all these yearz so sing me a happy song, I grew as a child cried as a man, But it's all over now and I am in God's hands, I've felt love and sensed hate, Seen bad things happen on good dayz, Out lived my first born, the healing is never complete, Through God's power he kept the ground under my feet, My dayz have ended now and the beginning of the ever after, No tearz and angry people but love and plenty laughter, Gonna miss yawl to but we gonna meet again, This is only the beginning I never believed in the end, This body can't talk no moe heart refuse to beat, My family and friends taking turns crying ova me.

Makes me remember Pac. I feel this, brotha. Sad piece of work (by sad, I mean emotionally). The line " Out lived my first born" - well, that sent a broken arrow right into the heart, through the bone, into the soul, and took us all straight to hell.

Well done, and somewhat uplifting.
