Timeless Night

Timeless Night

A Poem by Ethale Captor
"

Caught in a place that won't last forever.

"

If I just lay here

If my happiness unfurled

Would you lie with me

And just forget the world?

We can lie together

And gaze up at the stars

No noise from the city

No busy streets or cars

We can look together

Up at the full moon

Knowing we won’t have to

Leave anytime soon

We can get lost together

In the vast night sky

Then find each other again

The two of us, you and I

Together in the night tonight

The moon and stars light our endeavor

Together searching for common likeness

Timeless in our place forever

A stunning piece, I adore the last stanza. It is so very romantic, full of hope I feel and almost a gentle coaxing. A lovely piece
