The Awe Of Beauty

A Poem by BlakPrince
"

we're all beautiful

"

There's beauty, like truth, agreed by most,

denied only by jealous pretence

of few who, if they had it, would boast

like kids boast with beautiful presents.

Eyes, seeing beauty, act like a glad host

delighted with the dear guest's presence.

And so I stood there like a signpost

where her eyes met mine; at that instance

the awe of beauty made all words lost,

though earlier I packaged a sentence.

Beauty does sway one away. But like others said, inner beauty is all that matters. A sweet little piece. I enjoyed it!

I agree with you, we all are beautiful. We also carry so much ... the past of ancestors and the future of many generations in our DNA ! I believe beauty comes from within!
