I'd Give The World For Your Smile

I wrote this for a friend who was a little down.

there a friend out there
and she's a little blue
so darlin' i throw my love
my heart to you

 

if i was a clown
would it give you a smile
if i was clever
would that be an upside-down frown
if i were charming
would that be blushing

 

i'm no miracle answer man
just a listener
hoping that you'll find what you want
that it's all picture perfect and true
for now i can only hope to help
i can only listen and understand
and try my best
to make you smile
