Johnny 5

Johnny 5

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

Another one from the "Juliana Dando Project." And yes, this is inspired by the robot from Short Circuit!

"

I'm alive
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea
Johnny Five
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea
Hey Johnny he was a pile of junk in memory
Didn't know he was made of metal spaghetti
Bless his metal heart
Yea, yea, yea
He was flying with the lights
Transferring data to his mind every night
But it wouldn't help him sleep to tight
Yea, yea, yea
I'm alive
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea
Johnny Five
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea
Johnny was never like us (oh no, no, no)
They say he was different, but I think he was better than that
He could fly above the waves
Transcending them every day
Yea, yea, yea
I'm alive
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea
Johnny Five
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea
Johnny knew he had lost his fight (yea, yea, yea)
A battle to be human, but I told him he was better than that
He is truly higher than us
Because he loves us, every one of us
Yea, yea, yea
I'm alive
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea
Johnny Five
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea
I never thought Johnny could show us how to be
I never thought Johnny could show us the way
Bless his metallic heart (yea, yea)
He transcended our ignorance
And showed us, hey it's all right (yea, yea, yea)
If we love one another, treating everyone like sister and brother
Then hey, it's gonna be alright
But when I see the world today
I sit down, cry, start to pray
Then I think of Johnny
Saying hey, it's gonna be alright
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea.
It's alright
Cause I'm alive
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea.
Cause of Johnny Five
Yea, yea, yea. Yea, yea, yea.
Johnny Five... (yea, yea, yea)
Johnny Five... (yea, yea, yea)
Johnny Five... (yea, yea, yea)

About
I began writing back in '94 and I've been in love with it ever since. Music has a big influence on how I write, and what topics I choose to write about. I like to write a clever piece every now and th.. more..
