Instant Karma

Instant Karma

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

The love you give is the love you get. It's the vibe I get from this place as well.

"

And sometimes you wonder
Just why things go the way they do
When you least expect
And act of kindness, a good deed
And as soon as you turn around
The favor comes back to you

Instant karma
The unexpected reward
For giving of you heart without cause
And showing kindness to your fellow man
Oh that sweet karma
The love you give is the love you get

Have you ever
Given someone your last dime
To then find a dollar in a coat pocket

Have you ever
Helped someone find their smile
And then when you’re down
They are there to help you get yours back

Oh instant karma
It’s the good vibe of the world
A certain feeling that makes it alright

Oh instant karma
It makes the good feel so alive
It’s a thoughtful sign saying
“Hey good job, keep doing what is right”
So keep the karma going my friends
You never know when instant karma will come around in the end

Author's Note

Blake Q Hatfield
Inspired by an event on 8/4/06. Someone stopped me for driving directions to 30th street station, and I gave them directions. I continued on my walk for like 5 seconds and then my friend offers me a ride to 30th street station, thus instant karma.
