Spec of Time

Spec of Time

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

A point in time we wish was always there, but even as the memory of it is sweet, it has bitter lingering on the mind

"

he waited there                                    wanting

hours passed by                                    fleeting

trying to figure out                                yearning

where she could be                               missing

a lost memory, forgotten dream               lamenting

reflecting on what was meant                  meaning

in the times they spent                           living

under the moonlight                               experiencing

here in this nostalgic wonderland             beholding

where time has no place                         enjoying

but you and i are just fine                       evolving

we are one, we are love                          enlightening

but as soon as it all came to be                falling

it faded into a memory                            crashing

that will always seem to linger                  longing

I find this written so well! I enjoy this style even more when reading it through your hand. I like how all the words on the right go together with the same type of meaning.

trying to figure out yearning
where she could be missing
a lost memory, forgotten dream lamenting
reflecting on what was meant meaning
in the times they spent living

There's a story in here and the feelings jump out at the reader. I believe the column at the right really compliments your verse and offers a certain clarity. Wonderful writing here!
