Emo Kid and the Drama Queen

Emo Kid and the Drama Queen

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

Sometimes you get tired of trying to cheer those up that constantly want chaos in their lives. They think the world is this dramatic scene even when things are just peachy. The worse are those who do it for the attention.

"

Emo kids and drama queens
I'm so tired of their scene
So many tend to those tendencies
Everybody wants something for free
Constantly craving false sympathy

I don't want your sullen world
As much as I complain
It's your madness that drives me insane
Constantly drawing me and other suckers in
Because we are true and noble friends
So tired of this world

Can't there be just one day
When you don't try to make discord on the scene
When you don't embellish everything
Overstated or tall tale, your words are overrated
Why can't you just be real and sensible

Don't blame me for all your woes
I have done nothing wrong, except try to be a friend
So sorry I don't always take your side
You're human just like me
You're not always right
So stop your crying and sighing, and just try to live right

Emo kid just grow up
Drama queen come off your high horse
The world is not as you portray it to be
If you would just once look our your window
From that tinted glass house you're living in
And if you can't see all problems you're bringing
Then forget you ever knew me
'Cause I don't want any more of your misery
I'd rather live with hope for tomorrow

This is great!

'Can't there be just one day
When you don't try to make discord on the scene'

There's so much beauty in the world and it pains me that so many people can't see it. You obviously can, your writing is fantastic.

Someone had to say it! You did so wonderfully in your poem. I'm saying no to the drama and the emo on the block as well. There is only so much a girl can take--friendship can only stretch so far--when it's one sided, it gets old. Great poem and well said!
