I'm Gone (Out the Door)

I'm Gone (Out the Door)

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

You can leave, but can you let go?

"

I don't know why you think I do
But I just don't care anymore
I don't know why you can't see what I do in you
But I guess it's not my problem anymore
I'm gone, I'm gone, I'm gone out that door

Consequences for telling lies
Consequences for the divisive games you play
You could never see beyond your ego
I believed, I was a fool, I thought you were true
But I'm gone now, I'm gone, I'm out that door

Sleep covered eyes, I wake from the dream
Of what I thought we were, you were my everything
Perception of reality becomes right and I was wrong
You're oh so pretty but your eyes have become ugly and cruel
So I'm gone, I'm gone, I'm done with you

I spend my days now running through time
In the past when I thought you were mine
You had my heart, my body, my soul
You broke them, you wore them thin
I'm still hurt now, tending to my wounds
But I'm gone now, I'm gone, gone for good
But it doesn't matter because I still miss you
