In a World of Someone else's Imagining.

In a World of Someone else's Imagining.

A Poem by BlankCypher

Towering creations in a certain stasis of decay.
The forlorn watchers as decrepit statues on the crumbling mantle of hope.
The halitosis of your wretched creator.
His worm eaten corpse tainting the ground.
The one who imagined this world has been long since buried.
His aspirations dashed by the very maggots which digest him.
Brought to ruin by the very "angels" he created.
Reality is broken.

Wow. Quite simply... wow. The imagery in this is just exquisite. It's short, yes, but brilliantly written and very vivid. Having a certain affinity for the macabre myself, I was immediately drawn to this, but then even more so by... How do I put this? The writing almost feels personal. There's a sort of earnestness to it that's really compelling. I don't know if you'd ever consider writing a novel - that's entirely up to you, no pressure - but personally I'd pay good money to read a story or even a series in this sort of style.
And now, after skimming through some of your other works, consider me a big fan of your writing. ^_^
