Fireworks

Fireworks

A Poem by Jesse Jacques

we roam around

the carnival

holding hands

but

we're just friends

well

atleast that's what we say

everyone thinks we're a couple

so we

go along with it

and at the end

of the carnival

we watch

the fireworks

all bursts of color

against the night sky

and suddenly

we feel fireworks

in our stomaches

as we

gaze

into eachother's eyes

This is such a nice poem, a carnival and fireworks make everyone smile and when I read your poem it made me smile as well. Very cute I loved the line "we feel fireworks in our stomachs" It's a beautiful line.

Thanks for the feedback :)
My favorite part is the ending "and suddenly we feel fireworks in our stomachs as we gaze into each others eyes". Very cute. It makes me think of when I go to carnivals and watch fireworks :)
