Mind

Mind

A Poem by Jay Rose
"

A small glimpse into the mindset of someone with an invisible problem.

"

It’s not crazy
It’s not insanity
It’s not make believe

It’s a physical disease

It spreads from
the heart
the mind

Until the pressure of
holding yourself
up
becomes a thousand pound
weight
on your chest

You cannot breathe
You cannot cry
You cannot falter in your path

You walk on

A soldier fighting a battle
no one understands

A nameless foe

Even though you’re
shattered

Even you see
nothing
but pain ahead

Because naming it would mean you’re
broken

There is nothing
NOTHING!
wrong

You are fine.
Pain is fine.

So walk on
walk on before anyone
sees

That you’re not okay

This is very true, our mind's don't want people to see our weakness, what we are battling inside. We tend to think it's nothing and that it doesn't matter, because we aren't worth it. Thank you for this poem, and keep it up :) You're a good writer.
