Amore

Amore

A Poem by B. Maaitah
"

a first attempt in writing a sonnet

"

Often thou see me a playful child of innocence
others, a woman of beauty, a woman of grace
free spirited a lover of passion and diligence
what thou see in me, portrayed in thy face
In my eyes, love is thee, and thou art mine
like a work of art, thy love brings me delight
thou hast be a fallen star of heaven so divine
for flowers of spring only bloom.. on thy sight
On thy love, I'd require an age to contemplate
not of men, a love only angels could have known
in thine arms, all felt right, nothing to complicate
thou art the king of me, and my heart is thy throne
   I
give thee, all my heart, my soul, and my utter devotion
For only thy love sets the world of me, into constant motion

Mm, this was fantastic. A brilliant first attempt at a sonnet, and so elegantly done. Incredible.

Amore allow us to dream. To dance naked in the rain and be not afraid of being free to do a lover dance. Your beautiful poem create poetry for me. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

This reads like an ancient psalm. It's graceful and powerfully heartfelt.
