Apology Letter.

Apology Letter.

A Poem by Hunter Zabbai

Sometimes, it isn't just good enough.

You know what I mean?

Like, you hear something, or something happens...

But you just aren't satisfied?

You question why...you just want to know the truth.

But when you push, they push back towards you.

It's funny really, how a particular song, or smell, or taste, can bring back so many memories.

Ones you thought long forgotten.

And now they all come rushing back to you.

The dam is broken. The flood is in the streets.

No one is left standing.

My hand is just out of your reach.

You were always distracted.

And I never thought you capable of such deceit.

So, I just wanted to say....

Similar to the feeling of getting punched in the chest while asleep.

Ah yes, nothing like a flashback to bring you crashing back to real time. I like the flow and tone of your poem, but not sure if you meant to end it so abruptly.
