        Okay , listen i have a funny joke. Your gonna laugh , listen. What is prison for gay people? (laughs, waits) c’mon ! PARADISE ! ! ! (laughs then serious face) Did  you find that joke amusing? Was it funny? Well i didnt. “Dear Straight People” Let me set you straight Not all gays fit the stereotype. There could be one right next to you right now and you'd never notice. You might be best friends with one or related to one and you'd never notice. Sexuality and Gender is two different things that are combined in many different  ways. If you mix match your socks you’ll understand.

           Ever just set and thought about marriage and said to yourself that a secret bond between a MAN and a WOMAN. Which is partially true? Marriage is defined as the union of two U.S citizens by federal government. Nowhere in that definition does it say marriage is a union between a man and a woman. On May 17,2004, the first legal gay marriage in the United States was performed in Cambridge, Massachusetts between Tanya McCloskey , a massage therapist and Marcia Kadish , an employment manager at an engineering firm. We dont want to change the outlooks on marriage we just want to be assured that 50 years from now when the love of our life is on there deathbed and the doctor says visiting hours are for family only , we just want to know they’ll let us in. Same sex marriage is legal in 37 states & the District of Columbia. Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Texas, Ohio, and Tennessee are all states that bans same sex marriage. “Love is a HUMAN experience, not a political statement” says Anne Hathaway.

                 I am a prime example of the American unacceptability. I’ve always been too black, too liberated, too open-minded , TOO GAY! (says youtube spoken word video)There were 496 gays suicides in the past year. What’s so hard about accepting that fact that there are different shades of normal? Could it be that America is Homophobic? I am Tyler Clementi, Brandon Bitner, Billy Lucas, Asher Brown, Seth Walsh, Corey Jackson, Raymond Chase, Aiyisha Hassan, Chloe Lacey originally known as Justin but most importantly I am Crystal Jackson and Britney Crosby.

                                 Britney Crosby and her gf Crystal Jackson were killed by Britney Crosby’s father James Larry Crosby because and he quotes “ did not like the idea of her being gay”. Let’s think about this. If you don’t like how someone ties their shoes are you going to kill them? If you don’t like how someone slurp their noodles are you going to kill them? Gay suicides and Murders in the LGBT community are on the rise because YOU just won’t accept the fact that their are different shades of normal. America tries to keep us in our place by listing us as an Abomination as if we’re dropping a bomb on the nation by being gay.(says a youtube spoken word speech) Imagine if one of those people were your loved ones. You call us homos, faggets, gays,abomanations, aliens , everything but humans. We bleed and breathe the same air as you do. We’re your daughter , your son , your mother, your cousin , your uncle , your sister , your best friend. Will you accept us?

      Im not trying to tell you gay is the way but i'm simply trying to convince you that times are changing and if you're too stuck in the past , your gonna miss a brighter new day. I know we have the freedom of speech but do we really have to use that amendment to tear down our fellow americans no matter what’s their sexual preference is. This the same hate that caused wars from religion, gender to skin tone, the complexion of your pigment. The same fight that led people to walk-out and sit-ins. Its human rights for everyone there is no difference" says Macklemore in a song title Same Love supporting gays and gay marriage. Just think about it Will America really spin off its axis if you supported gay marriage and watched what you say to save a gays life? Can we fight for humans who have had their rights stolen?

This is a touchy subject for me so I'll do my best to stay positive. I liked your expression, "different shades of normal". Those words are all encompassing. They have a great deal of meaning to them and using them was an excellent choice. I also appreciate the fact that you noy only mentioned events and moments in history in regards to the LGBT movement, but you did your homework and gave detail. That really emphasizes your conviction, and shows that you care enough about your cause to have valid evidence and proof. There are quite a few gramatical and spelling errors, but in no way did they affect the readabity of the piece. I would say, though, that you should think about revising the introduction. The joke thing was a bit off-putting, because it came off almost agressive. I like the idea of a joke as a hook, but make sure you are drawing the reader in, not scaring them off. Because even I thought, oh boy another activist speech. If you come off as pushy or overbearing people may be less inclined to continue reading.
