Lost Chance At True Love

Lost Chance At True Love

A Poem by Bohrium Guy
"

When your looking back at your past and there is that one stand out that you just can't ever let go and kick yourself in the a*s for being foolish.

"

I had it in my hand, my soul and heart engaged,

My mind went south and suspicion soon enraged.

I loved her in New Jersey from a distant the affair

I made the flights to visit and show I did so care

Weekend splendor camping under moonlit nights

With smiles and laughter held us thru in delights

Trust began to weaken, my doubts became of me

My heart was screaming closer to hold her you see

My weakness in bonding caused a loss greater told

I wish I would have held my line straight and bold

Instead it crushed our relationship held in innocence

Now I sit with memories and my regret as my fence

If I could ever turn the clock back I surely would

For now I am older and now I finally trust I could

Hold a love and a heart without any complication

For the love we shared was surely a divine sensation

Long time ago, I also lost love because I could not trust. You nail the feeling in your poem: I wish I would have held my line straight and bold.

Well done. This resonates.
