Fire Girl

Fire Girl

A Poem by Jordan Avechuco

My flesh has boiled for the last time,

Your fire just burns too high.

This temperature is melting my mind,

I can feel it slipping away.

I remember screaming "Only your love can save me,"

My Fire Girl.

Now your weight is just dragging me down.

I'll never let you go, but I can't promise I'll stay the same.

So burn and let your flames engulf me,

My Fire Girl.
