murder to the masses

A Poem by Fra/c/ture
"
italicized lines at end appear courtesy of charles bukowski's "genius of the crowd"
"

and there's a law to protect them,

whoever they are.

there's a new law to protect them

from the old law--

from the old lawmakers

who gave birth to

the new lawmakers

who gave birth to

the new law.

demopublican

partizan packages

repackage the past,

wheel the old generals

out on stage to bellow

terror at the terrorists

prosperity at the rich

promises at the poor

and as always it remains:

the best at murder

are those who preach

against it.

sharp piece! it reads a little TOO fast. haha. i had to keep applying the brakes on my eyes to get it all.

i love it when poets play with words like "demopublican" - awesome!

"prosperity at the rich
promises at the poor" - this was very well put and resonates with me (probably cause i'm poor). lol.

you have a clean, purposeful, and witty style that i like.
