What Dreams May Come

What Dreams May Come

A Poem by Brad Nugent

drifting by inventive sleep
towards that extant universe
uncertainty does not exist
dilemmas solved by certitude
depart,delay, then evanesce
black barriers do not persist

adjourned to absent Avalon
where tantalising hellion
all honey-haired and golden-tongued
hungers for a happenstance

bewitching glances overflowed
with ecstasy so well defined
it renders affection
in epic proportion
and shakes aside
the blinding veil that was

inseminating little dreams
enthralling possibilities
caressingly conceived
to be

and nurtured to grow
past boundaries
all self-imposed
to something more
than was before
when last I opened eyes

I love the flow of this and, as always, your extremely clever use of language... I think the golden tongued one is the writer!! It is really quite hypnotic and I like the dream like sense it evokes. The words this week were quite challenging but you make it seem so easy!
