Wanting more than friendship

Wanting more than friendship

A Poem by Breadrun
"

I feel that many people can relate to this poem, we have all had friendships where our feelings get stronger and we want it to be more, sometimes it works but like this poem it doesn't

"
I want to hold you tight at night
feel your skin and smell your hair
I know you would complete me
But you are never there
I wish one day, no more a friend
But a lover, a soul mate, my bride to be
It seems so joyful when I pretend
That you are with me, Together at last
Our own little house having a blast
Why cant you see, what your doing to me
Not even a chance even when I glance
My hope turned to sorrow as he moved in
He stole your heart
and now we have to part
It may be hard to see my view
But I was waiting in the queue
Hoping, dreaming, wishing
For a little chance with you

I agree we can all relate at some point in our lives we have had feelings which weren't mirrored by the person we were interested in

A good write although some rhymes felt forced to keep the flow going but sometimes when you have a good poem its not always about the rhyming
