Icecream Trucks

Icecream Trucks

A Poem by BreannaAutumn
"

really just nonsense, my thoughts.

"
I grew up to the smell
of fresh-cut wood, bonfires, and paperback books
I grew up on
beer, horses, and motorcycles
I grew up on
comfy old couches, family ran towns, and sunny front lawns
I chased those icecream trucks
like I chased my dreams when I got older
I raced around the house with my brothers
like speeding bullets
and we only sat still
to share a barbequed dinner
on our family's back porch
I knew honesty and sincerity
through the people that raised me
and I learned that life's too short
to be anything but happy

This is very insightful and how we all should look back at our come up ins along the way of life little battles with strife family and the little wife.
