I am the Poem and you are the Poet

I am the blank paper ready for an artist

I am the map and you are the chartist

I am the canvass and you are the painter

I am the comic box and you are the entertainer

I am the idea and you are the inventor

I am the potential and you are the mentor

I am the wandering thought and you are the wrangler

I am the fish of intuition and you are the dangler

I am the lover of complexity and you are the thinker

I am the clock of time and you are the tinker

I am the challenger of wit and you are the fighter

I am the untitled work of the world’s writers

Author's Note

This poem seeks to demonstrate what any kind of artist (i.e. writers, painters, inventors, entertainers, even entertainers) faces when looking at his canvass that is awaiting his masterpiece.
