Truth

Truth

A Poem by Bri

“Truth”

The truth:

If no one believes it,

Is it still true?

Or is it replaced?

Covered up by lies made in lieu?

When it gets to the point

Where no one remembers

How people really are,

Only how they are rendered.

When it gets to the point

When the truth is hazy

But the lies are clear

You know something’s wrong here.

Injustice done by the least likely suspect.

 All holding our breath,
not knowing what to expect.
